Just bought a 1955 Lone Star Commander with a 1977 Johnson 25 hp engine. Going to start the restoration on her this weekend and hope to have some photos up a little later!

1978 Tri-Hull w/ 1982 evinrude 60hp.... Restoring now. Just finished sanding and get ready to repaint and gel - coat the floor. Matter of fact just bought brand new seats for the front bow and for passenger and driver. Coming along pretty good! Evinrude starts right up soon as I turn the key and runs like a beast!! Love this boat! And I paid $400 for the whole boat!

1978 trihull 15.5' with a 1982 Evinrude 70 hp motor. All original! Even the baby blue...

Love it!!! Nice looking Tri-Hull!!!

I just sold a 1960 Skagit 17 with a 1978 evinrude 70, and upgraded to a 1978 Olympic 1800 runabout with an '09 90hp evinrude e tec. Someone LPU'd the topsides red and the previous owner replaced the transom, so I am just enjoying it!



i love the quiet new two stroke...same power out of the hole, good efficiency, and the classic styling of years past...not a runabout that looks like a basketball shoe!

It seems with times getting tighter more and more prople will be holding on to that old boat they own. My question is How old is the boat that you own currently?

The newest old boat: '81 Baja 15SS, '83 140 Johnson, 57 mph gps so far, with the bimini up?! Btw it's best to leave those deflectors or tubes or pipes or whatever ya wanna call them in the water jacket. They're there for a reason.
