it has a 4-cylinder Mercruiser I/O engine, but i don't know at this time (i bought it last Friday to restore.) if it's a 120 or a 140 HP engine, as the identifying decals are missing.

A solid crankshaft pulley makes it a 2.5L. A Harmonic Balancer makes it a 2.0. It's just that easy.

That is quite a heroic project! ... And one that I'd have fun with, some steam bending, plank spiling, and cutting gains. All good stuff! Will you be keeping us updated with progress photos?

That looks like a lot of fun! -- Built in Perth Amboy N.J. -- It really looks like it is in great condition. Most of the lifeboats from that era completely rusted apart decades age. A pretty rare boat you have there.

I'm afraid I have you all beat. My current boat is a 1942 Welin with a Kermath 8 hp 2 cyl. inboard. These pics are from a couple of weeks ago. She is coming along nicely now. She should be water ready in two more paydays.

Haha....the challenge is for YOU to tell me how old MY boat is, and while you're at it tell me who made it.....Please UPDATE!! I will tell you that I have found out it is a Duracraft, but I still haven't found one just like it, so I am still lacking a date. 2end UPDATE, it's a 1952 Duracraft sportsman.

1976 SeaRay SRV180. Bought it in August of 2011, and redid the interior.. exterior this fall..
