Re: Starcraft Parts

VL, Here's the wheel.

And to update: I have two bow castings

One pair of lower rub rail endcaps in good shape slightly pitted and i mean slightly.

One original bow light from my 66 sunchief that was pitted real bad and I had it chromed. The pitting still shows but no one would notice on the front of the boat. Light doesn't have the insides but you can get thewm anywhere. I went with a light that holds a flag up front.

One Port side transom end cap for an I/O model-this means it's flat across he back and rounded up the side for the rubrail-will not work on outboard models.

Two windshield base end caps for any 60's model with the 4 peice windshield

Two transom end caps from an islander (75) model I/O

One bow light with flag pole attachment one screw hole flange is cracked at the hole but this light would work just fine with insides

Oh yeah and a pair of transome handles from an 18'Holiday. I have a pair on mine-you aren't gonna lift the boat with em but i use them to tie off all kinds of stuff. They're in good condition.

I could sure use the transom end caps for my 1970 21' Islander I/O restoration. How much were you asking for the pair?

Re: Starcraft Parts

Hey guys,
I have a Full enclosure bimini That came with my 79' SS180 available, It comes with, Bow cover, walkthru piece, 2 side windows, and rear that attached to the gunwales & splashwell, also have all twist buttons & snaps that were on the boat, the original bimini top & frame were beyond trashed, but I do have 1 that is nearly identical to what was original but the zippers dont match the SS stuff is large & the other is slightly smaller, it also has a rear attachment for it that has a window(but the plastic window is missing) ALL goes together!!!

PM for details!

The stains are mostly from sitting on a shelf for the last 15years! withexception to the bow cover, it was used but the rear, side windows & walkthru piece were never used!

Re: Starcraft Parts

The Starcraft Islander transom caps you've sent put the original caps to shame! Thanks again "MichaelP"!
My empty 70' Islander gets transom and engine/outdrive next.

Re: Starcraft Parts

Hello.
I have been a member for about two years. I've been reading and taking ing the knowledge available in this forum. I own a 1968 18' Holiday IO and my son owns a 1975 21' chieftain IO w/factory hardtop. My son is a marine mechanic at a good size marina adjacent to the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. The Boats(sail and power) that he works on, range between 30' to 100'. He still prefers our starcafts.
An exact twin to his boat(including the factory hardtop) was involved in a accident(the boat did not sink) that totaled it. My son bought it and we stripped it. The factory hardtop was removed with out cutting any thing. We just unscrewed, unbolted, carefully drilled rivits to get the hull hardtop separated. The glass is all good and the rest of the hard top is in great shape.
I tried several time to include pics but not being a computer wizard I failed. If one of you folks could point me to directions on how to send pics(I have a photobucket account) I would appreciate it.
The hardtop is available. If any one is interested, plese PM me.

Thanks
Hartzj

Re: Starcraft Parts

Hey Hartz! The Apostle Islands are simply awesome, a true water wilderness, you guys are blessed to call them home!

Photobucket is the easiest method. Upload the photo there, copy the "IMG" tag and post it in your thread here.

Re: Starcraft Parts

I agree "The Apostle Islands" are fantastic. Back in the 70's, my friends and I, used to charter fish up there. We were young back then. Drink, play cards, and reel in fish when the bell would go off on the out riggers. Our Charter boat was a 33 footer w/ twin 440 Chryslers gas was less than 50 cents a gallon. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum ( except back then it was brandy)......"Those were the days my friends".

Sorry, had to chime in, when I seen the "The Apostle Islands" mentioned.

Re: Starcraft Parts

Matt, you need to remove your email address from your post. It's in your best interests anyway as this is a public forum, but it violates 1 of the iboats forums rules...

Ask anyone w/ the parts you request to send you a PM. There is no direct sales via the forum.

Good luck w/ your starchief, and start a resto thread for it............
