Really John that would probably be an easier sell to her. Although $700 seems like a good deal on the one Joe posted.

She asked if the V8 in the Stratos could be used. I said maybe.
Lead her to the light....

you should have just said yes.

8 cyl in that would be most awessome.

i can store for free for a year or so.....

good luck.

off for another coat of mud.

Man what's with you guys turning into IO haters anyway? I'd slap a MC 260 HP in her for 2k rather than spend 10k on a equal HP OB conversion.
I/O doesn't work for me. Michigan springs and falls are the best time to fish. Temps are sometimes below the freezing mark and back up to 50. Hard to winterize and un-winterize on a whim. I/O's have their place, not at my place though.

How about '79 KingFisher, 16', with trailer and a running Merc 40 for under $600.

Great small lake fishing boat right there, I wonder if the trailer jack comes with?

I was going to say, its hard to believe that boat is selling so low, especially because it looks like its at a dealers shop....well it ISNT selling that low, that's just the STARTING BID....I bet it has a $1500 reserve!!

Bob, I dont think that boys ranch has much of a reserve on boat (or any other of the loads of vehicles they sell) its a charity. And unlike Boat Angel, doesnt have a set buyers premium added to your winning bid after the auction closes.

The ranch usually prices their boats low enough to get a little bidding war, hence the 595 starting bid on a boat, motor and trailer.

you might be right, after I posted I looked at his other auctions...he sells a lot of different 'vehicles", and al the boats seem cheap....

Don't forget that the eBay auction for that KF is a standard auction. So that $595 is just the opening bid. The price will likely go up.

Thought that might have been FuzzyLittleBoaters stolen boat, but his diesel was stright inboard.

Awesome Biggin' at a bargain price ^^^

Yep, kind of low starting bid to entice bid war....

I've bought 2 boats from them.
no one bid against me on either.

Its still winter here, so many are not thinking about boats yet.

No reserve, no premium added.

Rawhide Boys Ranch is just that.
A ranch that has housing, school, animals, chapel, started by Bart Starr, to help wayward boys find their way, learn responsibility, and keep their head straight.
Its really a first class operation, not like a dirty old farm.

Well, it sold for $760, more than I would pay for it, but not too bad if you can live with it without sticking too much into it.

If I bought it, I would be tempted to replace the trailer, then the floor, seats, wiring, steering and console, and then a motor with power tilt for my bad shoulder.
$4000 later, I'd have a boat.

ok work travel slowing WAAAAAAAY down it appears, unless I take the new job but for now i'm not. That said we are hitting the road in mid April from 37355 to Pensacola to see the boy when he graduates Navy Avionics class. So map that out, keep an eye out for my big holiday, or anything you want dragged back north a bit.
