I can never find any boats for sale in the SC FB group, even with a link. Do you need to be a member of the group?

he said on the CL starcraft page, that he think every piece of wood, needs to be replaced!!!!!!! yikes..... I took the wood out of one I/O....don't want to do that again!!!!!!!!!....nice hull.....but too much work for an I/O boat for me, I think... but for a guy who knows he wants to start with the right boat and totally rebuild it...this is a desireable hull!!!...

I'm pretty sure that boat's gone. He posted it on the FB group page and it looks like a buyer is en route. Great deal for somebody, especially with that hull.

That Lund is back on my CL, same price, $1600. I don't have time for another boat rebuild now even if I had the cash to spend. There will always be others.

EDIT: Ya, that hardtop Islander is sold. $100 for one of the most sought after Starcrafts ever made on a galvanized tandem trailer. The only bummer is i/o. That buyer must be loving it...I wonder if they're on this board?

tandem isn't quite the proper term........ a tandem trailer with ONE axle!!!!!!!!! that needs tires....... its great for someone who has a lot of auto insurance and or lives REAL close by!!!

Man what's with you guys turning into IO haters anyway? I'd slap a MC 260 HP in her for 2k rather than spend 10k on a equal HP OB conversion.

It's just my personal preference, I'm not dissing inboards at all. For me they're just easier to swap and work on (i.e. you're standing up) and no winterizing. But inboards are cheap, quiet, and a big weight displacement advantage.

yeah the outboard leaves a lot more room in the back of the boat, they self drain and so they can be used anytime in the winter, which I do often. Outboards while expensive are easy to take off and on and work on.... you can upgrade to more horsepower easily.....
