Not period correct for sure, but functional.

From this angle it isn't to bad.

1975 Starcraft Chieftian cabin cruiser. This 22 ft., aluminum boat was renovated in the mid 1990's with new floors, marine carpet, cabinets out of birch plywood with multiple coats of marine poly, seats, marine vinyl, fuel tanks, fuel lines, etc. The interior is still in excellent condition. The brightwork is really nice.

Mercruiser 165 hp. straight 6. It needs an impeller in the foot (have parts), some work on the tilt/trim and the transom either repaired or replaced. The transom is rotted on the starboard side, so I am not sure if it can be repaired or needs to be completely replaced. It comes with a tandem trailer with good tires. I do not consider the boat seaworthy as is. Asking $3450 or best offer. Will make someone a sweet boat with a little TLC. I do not need any help selling this boat. Cash only.

Funny thing is the Admiral would be willing to let me bring something like this home over the Nassau because she wants a cabin sleeper style boat.

This one is way overpriced. Check out the captains chair setup. Two short swivel stands to make a tall one. This almost needs to be posted on the TLC craigslist/ebay thread.

This seems overpriced as well. Especially with the motor needing a replacement foot.

Here is what seems like a good setup for a fishing boat with a bait tank.

I think I could still live with it.

Without a drop down ladder and only 1 hand hold I would like to see someone try to get up on that platform in the water.

^^^^^ I can't easily crawl up the stern of my Nassau and that bathroom fixture would be no help.

I do admire the frugal nature of the handicap rails, but, yeah, not so practical. That 22' Chief looks pretty nice.

Yeah I'm on the hunt, but I'll have to be more discerning on my ladder choices apparently.

There seems to be more tin boats for sale within a couple hundred miles of me than is usual. Of course if I was truly dedicated like some people (Waterman, dozerII, Budski come to mind.) I'd be more up to a longer road trip to hunt down the Chieftain I really want.

P.S. I did show the Admiral/(She Who Controls The Purse) the Chieftain I posted. Her response was " Finish the projects you have this summer and we will talk about adding another boat to the fleet." Now I need to kick it into overdrive to finish my honey do list.

This is about a 10 hour drive from me, but the price is right. Owner says hull is in good shape except for a dent half way down the side below the waterline. Claims it is an inline 6 cylinder 160hp GM motor. The trailer goes with it. My plan on a restoration would a repower with a much mucher newer motor. Despite what the owner says, from the shape of the keyhole, I had thought this was a mercruiser, but I may be wrong. So whaddaya think? Trailer, hull in apparently decent shape. plus full canvas.......However, if I have to re-weld a keyhole on this I may pass.

Yeah Peter it's a MC drive, the transom assembly is still on it that's why it looks like a bigger hole.
