I haven't posted a "find" in awhile - The ads have dried up. But I found this one. 18' Mariner with a 75 horse Mariner and trailer. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/boa/4865613551.html

1981 Starcraft 18' CC
Project boat Classic hard to find
All aluminum deep vee hull
1993 75 HP Mariner Outboard
Motor ran when parked
Floor out ready for some one to put it all back
EZ loader trailer
3000

I hope the 3000 means the trailer rating and not the price! But he does say "classic".

Don't you need a matching Starcraft snowmobile to go with it? Did SC make snowmobiles too?

EDIT - I should have Googled before asking. Yep, they made sleds too.

So what year do you think this one is and the HP rating? The 1971 brochure shows all square edged windshields??? I know that what's on a title and what a boat actually is can be two different things. And the yellow one that isn't a Nova? Wonder what model that one is and the HP rating. The reason that I ask is that I have a nice 1979 80HP I-4 Merc to power something. It seems like most of these 15' are around 50HP rating.

Did you see on the Northern Wisconsin one how he made a template back at the transom for gas tanks, the battery and such so they don't scoot around. That's pretty ingenious. Never have seen that.

Looked like a Nova to me, from the 1972 brochure here on iboats....

An 80hp would be overkill on a 15'

Yep esp since vintage SC 15s arent. Mine r 14' 6" and 14' 9"

Jupiter, Holiday or Viking/Viscount 16s for your 80hp

Yep, I like those rounded wrap around windshields with the cut out side swoosh. Not sure there are too many of those that would take an 80HP. I think there is a fiberglass one but I'm interested in aluminum.
