Well he is certainly dreaming beause he will never get close to $1000 for the DigiTrolls as they are way outdated but he may see $3G for the boat throwing in the riggers at least in my neck of the woods.

I realize we're talking about CL crazies here, but for less than half of his "$3K downriggers" (that are, as you point out, old and outdated) you can get two brand new top of the line Scotties that can lift 20# weights.

The lying that passes for salesmanship on CL really bugs me. I guess people just want to believe that their junk is worth way more than the price the market dictates.

.........guess people just want to believe that their junk is worth way more than the price the market dictates.

My favorite pet peeves about CL ads are:

Price is firm, and a bargain at this price. Or I'll keep it and sell it for MORE in the spring..........

or

Or I'll buy the $50 part myself, fix it and sell it for MUCH MORE in the spring.........

Doesn't Carp get LESS valuable over time? Unless as fertilizer.......

And if $50 and a weekends work gains you significantly higher priced carp, why wouldn't you spend the $50 and do the work.........

Always makes me think of Sears Craftsman TOOLS :watermelon:

Yep, have used Craftsman for a long time and worked in the tool dept for a bit in college. Got nothing bad to say about their tools.

No Title

serious interested parties can PM me.

Here's one I have texted pic on. Headed to MO in April and that is home state have peeps there now that can be on site in less than 24 hours.

I went and took a look at this today. I think you could get this for almost nothing. The boat is a complete project. The aluminum hull seems fine. The owner has health issues and hasn't been to see it in three years. It has a 2011 tag on it so I think it has been sitting uncovered for 4 years. It's sitting on the marina's trailer and they just pulled it up on the boneyard lot to get it out of the way. If anyone is interested I can fill you in on the conversation I had with the owner and the owner of the marina. The owner says he has a clear title.

what is it's hull weight 1400Lbs?

[h=1]2001 Starcraft Marine Fishmaster 196[/h]
This Starcraft Marine outboard utility has a aluminum hull, is 19.75 feet long and 100 inches wide at the widest point. The boat weighs approximately 1430 pounds with an empty fuel tank and without any gear or passengers. The maximum horsepower we have listed for this outboard boat is 175 hp .

From the iboats Manufactures site.

The seller seems awfully sure someone is getting a good deal on that one Glen. I think the $800.00 offer he refused would be a fair price considering everything that it needs.

*** STARCRAFT 22ft. Alum. Hull ONLY, no engine. Rating is 135hp motor. Steering wheel is stiff/bad. I have had offers of $800 and said no way.....Will remove when sold. Want something nicer ? There is a 20ft. Lund online for $28,000....

I thought it looked like the top had been cut. I do remember one posted a while back that had the top cut and slid back. This could be the same boat, and why it hasn't sold for his asking price. He wants someone to think his $1000 dollar project is nice unless you have an extra $28,000 dollars sitting around.

Yes it was posted prior. It has been for sale for about a year. Either Willy or 73 Chief mentioned it last time it was posted.

Yep......posted before and that dude must have smoked too much crack from the city. Looks like he tried to shorten up the cabin area with his chop job. Just a hull and a piece of junk for a trailer. Yea I would rather cough up the 28G.
