Joe, it has nothing to do with dilithium crystals that make our boats go faster with less hp and get vastly better fuel mileage. nothing at all.


I seem to remember that Islander from up North in a past ad, maybe. yeah, i had that feeling too....i even recall the G.Loomis decal. but if it's legit and it's north of here, why ain't it advertised on the ABQ CL too?

I meant way North, like closer to the birthplace. I can't tell the beginning of the reg. #, but I thought it was in MI or WI, a Great Lake state. The car doesn't have a front plate, so I'll say the pics weren't taken in TX. Not being a suspicious person, I trust everyone - sure, maybe a relocation to El P?

ok this is a new one for me. Why the cinder block?

Look at the pix you reposted, the boat's set back at least a foot past the end of the trailer bunks, and the pix doesn't show the coupler. The boat is likely on a trailer that's too short for an 18ft'r, so the boat's slide back so it can actually be towed w/ out the bow hitting the tow vehicle. The motor & weight that far behind the axle, probably lifts the tongue off the ground. Hence the cinder block. Or as noted, as a foot to put under the jack stand...
