That 25' Chief is the layout I've been looking for....

Anyone got a 25' trailer I can borrow....for the next 20 years or so.....

Jas might have one he won't 'need' for a bit.

Shouldn't be 20 years, but based on the Islander thread, might be available fir a few more then 1....

I know people in glass house.....

Hey, I bet it would prolly fit on the Sea Ray donor trailer. That came in handy today for hauling a big load of slab wood...

How about a 1986 22' Sylvan Offshore on a Galvanized trailer with an OMC Seadrive. A $1700 project north of ATL. At one of my favorite sellers , but maybe they finally got it right.

A vintage FeatherCraft - Is there any other kind? A cool looker near Chattanooga for $700. Boat/motor/trailer.

Something bad happened to that Offshore:

But I guess the parts & pieces are there. Just make sure to throw all that debris in the cabin before hitting the freeway home.....

That FC looks to be a late model, not much like any of the 50-60's FC's. Large, boxy hull and square windshield are not typical. Not sure when SkiBo production ended. Since it's
probably about 15 ft.
it could be a SkiBo....
If the seller doesn't know how long it is, who does?

None of the FC pix I found when I 1st saw the ad, none had the long hand rail @ the gunwales either.

JB - The Sylvan is in GA's boat junkyard, so I wouldn't expect much. Very rare for them to sell a complete boat/motor/trailer combo. Don't forget that recycling starts in September. Last September!

I don't know nuttin' about FCs. :)

Um, is the Admiral aware of this development? :faint2:

I wasn't sure what you meant by your favorite seller. Ah yes, good ole Lanier, where a few good boats go to die.............

But mostly where junk boats can be bought for 6-10times what they're 'worth', and usually have been stripped bare. :watermelon:

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Sorry, JB. The Admiral only has one inhabitant in the junkyard - ME! You did mean to say where VERY few good boats go to die, didn't you?. Most are way past resurrection before reaching LML. It is a very depressing place to visit. I only look for some hard to find parts there. I hate the way they do ads. Many pics of a complete boat on a trailer, including motor. Then you read the ad and trailer is separate and the motor/IO is separate. I feel it's misleading, but it's the way they do it.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Yep, very few. GA, very few. Every now & again I see a tin boat that's well worked, but might be salvageable. But it's a pretty big might.

The glass boats are definitely mostly gone by the time LML gets them. I hear they can be tough to deal w/ other then in person. That's unfortunate, because there are probably loads of trim and bits & pieces that are difficult to find elsewhere......

No 'real' motor & $3800  wow, no is right chem....

Lots of obsolete/outdated electronics in that Mariner, hope the seller doesn't figure the stuff is worth anything.

LML is a trip to deal with, JB. And I do it in person. There are a lot of complaints about their "phone" manners. They advertise almost nationwide and won't/don't return calls.

To be fair, the seller is including 11 rolls of graph paper for that 40yo lowrance.

Hmm, it's not even page 75 yet via my iboats acct. :watermelon:

At 100posts per page, it does take a bit to load, esp if via my phone................

SOTW will join the tin brigade 1 day, may not be an SC, but it will eventually happen. My hope for you is soon, and that it's NOT the boxcar willy special in your avatar........

That rig could make for an interesting platform to watch Thunder Over Louisville though, nice space out back for the BBQ grill :D
