Thanks a lot. Will have to call him tomorrow. You know I have a yard full of boats and little available cash for more boats.


So, how do you think a Merc 115 will do on that hull?
I could pull the 115 I6 off my 18' mariner, then put my 90 Merc I6 on the mariner. Heck, I still haven't got the 75 mounted up on my Nassau. And the Holiday needs an outdrive. And the boat shed still has a 3' deep snow drift in front of it.

Stressing.

that is actually one pretty nice glasser.....and if it's been kept covered, the stringers might even not be rotted.

I see an overpriced, under powered boat with rotten deck/transom/stringers sitting on a crapy trailer.

But, for some very strange reason, I really like the lines of these giant fiberglass Starcraft Americans, sssshhhhhhhhhhh.....

While doing one of my fanciful searches around the North American continent, I ran across this one posted on the Victoria, BC CL.

Dont worry i can deliver this boat to the canadian border with california,
My boat is an aluminum riveted boat from 1986, just rfeplaced all the deck wood and check all the rivets, no leaks, is filled with urethane for bouyancy, the motor is an ptimax dfi from 2001 with 556 hours,ecomonitor gauge
the problem with the boat is the mexicans, they dont want aluminum boats, they dont want mercury motors, also they want a boat thats retail in 90,000 for free, i will build a welded hull and need sell this boat to buy the metals. thanks

when you're far enough south, icy cold places up north all look alike? i have to believe there's some sort of humor or dig there that i'm not getting.

funny thing is he's right. you'll have trouble selling a tinboat or a non-Yamaha motor in Mexico; everyone wants Yammies cuz they're what you can get parts for. lot of $ for the boat, but less than i'll have in mine
