You didn't break down, you stepped up to the plate. Congrats
ulp. i broke down and wrote the guy with the 25'.

thinking about trying to work on something that size is pretty intimidating.....i imagine the transom alone weighs about 100#. trailering will be scary. and i guess flipping her for painting is out......

Good luck getting the 25' in the back yard dry dock as a future project. It will definitely take an under deck permanent aluminum tank:rolleyes:

Lonestar, almost fully stripped and polished. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=20168780&cat=147&lpid=2&search= neat boat... twin outboards...

You are not kidding, polished....... More like mirrored..... Very nice twin 1957 Johnson 35hp SeaHorse Javelins, or at least they look like my '57 Javelin.

A 1976 Chieftain in SC. He says 18.5', probably an 18 footer $3000/offers http://charleston.craigslist.org/boa/2983565374.html

Islander, 22', 120 M/C I/O, well equipped. In N. MI for $3500 http://nmi.craigslist.org/boa/2983891293.html

1986 open bow 16' w/ 90 horse Evinrude and 9.9 kicker. This one of the nice looking tin opens and nicely equipped. $3800 in central MI.

And now - The over-priced SC of the day unless the motor is only a few years old. 16' what looks to an older (real old) model, clean with a Suzuki 40 tiller w/ TnT. All for $6000. And the TM and seats not included and "are negotiable" http://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/bra/boa/2983711109.html

This one is closer to home, but would require taking a return ferry ride, that alone would cost about $300 plus... the CEO of the ferries just retired and gets $300,000/year in a pension for 9 years of working??? (yup, alot of us BC folks were not happy about that deal)...oops got off subject.

This looks like a SS, bowrider with 3 outboards 65hp zuki, 70 hp johnny, and a 9.5 hp rude... something about those bowrider appeals to me :D oh yeah, that's what we bought!!!!

This 18' will rock your world, if that sound system works as good as it looks. Nice paint job, interior is in good shape, and the trailer appears to be solid too. She is an i/o, but the leg room could be questionable due to intense sound system. Looks like it could be a lot of fun though!! I think this beauty is located in the same location metro Vancouver area...that would be BC, Canada

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

remember that 25' cruiser with the 260hp V8 for $1500 OBO? i went and looked at it yesterday.

either Starcraft makes em out of cotton and they shrink when they get wet, or the lady was really confused and what i saw when she opened the door of the storage shed was in fact an 18' holiday with 120hp Murkcruiser. it's 67 vintage, nice shape and probably the most original Holiday i've seen in a while....just the way it left the factory. even the original funky 60s steering wheel. no hull dents and paint in decent shape; would just need a few hrs with rubbing compound. floors and transom looked solid, steers and shifts OK. trailer looks great. didn't bother turning it over (since i already have an 18' Holiday) but if she's right that it is water ready with a battery and some fresh gas, would be a solid package for someone, and a lot less work than most of these crocks we buy.

i gave her the correct info to put in her ad for the boat and she was going to relist it starting at more like 1000. they have a deadline because they're moving into an RV and are in a "must sell" situ. ironically, it might move faster when correctly listed cuz i think "260hp V8" might scare folks off in the days of $4+ gas.
