Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

Sometimes I get tired of looking for Starcrafts. I found this one in North MI. '57 Lone Star 16 ft. Holiday. Interesting is the O/B bracket.

Here is the FiiberGlassics page for the Lone Star http://www.fiberglassics.com/wiki/images/d/d3/Lonestarb57008.jpg

Neat looking tinny.

One more Lone Star, a '57 Nassau - one of the best CL ads I've seen. http://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/boa/2735291792.html

Back to your original program.

I would rock that cool little orange SC all day long. Those Lonestars are also super cool.

Re: Starcraft on C-list/ebay!

I texted him this morning and he actually replied and sent me a pic. It's light blue. He said the title says 18' but he says he measured it once at 21'. He said it wouldn't fit in his 25' garage even at an agle. He's going to measure it in the morning and see if the data plate is still there. I know I really wanted an OB but it's not to far away and a decent price. If it's an 18' I will probably pass on it.
BTW does anyone know if they mad a 21' in 69? I believe it's a Holiday. I'll throw up the pic after work.

EDIT: I looked at the iboats boat specs page and they only list a Holiday in an 18' for that year.

Here's the pic he sent me. When enlarged it really looks like an 18'er but he was gonna measure it for me today and check the data plate.
Sunchief? Hmm that would be pretty cool since we don't see many on here.

Boatnut74,

I live in Tulsa. I talked to this guy about a month ago on this boat. By the way, he is a nice guy and helpful. He told me his ad says it's a 69 but after looking at the title he found out it is a 68 model. The motor and outdrive are trash. I thought about doing a merc 3.0 transplant from a donor boat but pretty much decided it wasn't what I was looking for. Lots of winter left and more boats will show up so I'll keep looking.

Here's a boat closer to you, I don't know if they will negotiate on the price or anything about it.

This is the boat I'd like to have:

I'm not worried about the motor and drive, I have a couple spares. I was thinking about doing an outboard conversion  I don't think it would be to difficult, just cut the transom down, fab up a splashwell and add a knee brace. Btw garrynky was it a 21' like he said or an 18'?

I called on that boat in Salina, they are pretty firm on the price.

I asked him whether it was an 18' or 21'. The next day he found the title and said it was titled as an 18'. I never went to look at the boat, however, it really looks like an 18'. The fact that it won't fit in his 25' garage sounds about right. If you take 18 for the boat, a couple for the outdrive and 5 or 6 for the tongue it all adds up.
