Hey Fireman!!!

Just got off the phone with The St Augustine Municiple Marina. I took the liberty of requesting the slip next to you. I was told, as of now, I've got it; but they can't guarantee it because my boat is 20', and if they get a larger vessel needing the slip, they'll have to put me somewhere else.

Cool idea about the video.

If you stay there, we're gonna slide your boat to the front of the slip and put that giant float in between you and the dock...until we get kicked out, that is...

That's a great idea. Saves the money on an additional slip. They charge by the foot, though, as you know. They may want to charge for the space it takes up. Being that they're willing to let me have the larger slip, and not charge me any more than the per foot rate, as long as there's no need for the slip for a larger boat, they probably won't have a problem with it... The person I spoke with seemed really cool. I doubt they'll ask for any more money for the raft...

This trip is sounding better and better with every post. Can't wait to meet you guys!!!

Not really sure if they'll charge or not. I'm a 3x repeat and it's not like we're using the raft as a boat. Blow it up in the morning and deflate it at night. simply a way to chillax without splashing around in the drink.

Getting antsy...wanna go wanna go wanna go.

Nah!!!... You're not antsy. Not yet anyway. When you're telling us how many days, hours, and minutes... well... then your antsy.;)

When you're at the point where your figuring out how many seconds are involved... well... we won't even go there, Buddy:p:D

And I thought you had bad news...:D Bad news would have sounded something like, family's coming... and I won't be able to make it.:( As long as that's not the case, it's all good my Friend. Bring'em!!! I'm assuming they're boaters... If not, you've been slackin' all these years.

Your gonna meet some of our families, sasto. It'll be great to meet some of yours!!!... So, I'm assuming... "Some are sicker than others";)

I don't know how many times you've heard "Can't wait to meet you". Well, now we can change that to: Can't wait to meet you guys!!!:D:D

Actually, veritas honus, they are truckers who have been on the road for over 30 years and have never owned a boat.......till now! They have their sights on a liveaboard snailboat (sp). They plan on semi-retiring this summer and live on their boat here at Nettles Island. They want to travel the Bahamas and Carib. sometime in the future. They are good people that love having a good time. Hopefully Kimi's 14 year old son will be joining us too.

See ya soon, Buddy :D

This just gets better & better! The more, the merrier.

We spent yesterday out on the water and rafted up with 4 other boats and 15 people. It was 85? and not a cloud in the sky. Didn't make it back to the dock until 10:00 pm. Here is a quick shot of us running across Lake Monroe on the way out.

Mrs. Fireman is the one in the black tank top.

Alright now, this is getting scary... As I'm reading your post, sasto, I've got a huge smile on my face , and I'm thinking, ":DThis just gets better and better:D"... Now, I'm lovin' everything I'm reading; and at the same time, looking forward to what Fireman had to say. Well, I read your post twice, before scrolling down to Fireman's; and I'm thinking, "Man, this just gets better and better" (as I'm scrolling down to see the first thing Fireman says is... yeah, you know the rest!!!):D Now, I wanted to end that last piece of info with a "cool" face emoticon, but I'm just not cool enough to contain the smile.:D OK, I would have used the "face+palm" emoticon for that last statement about not being cool enough, but again... need I say it???

By now, you guys may be thinking: What a sap!!! If that's the case, well then let me assure you... This sap can't wait to meet you guys!!!

Mrs. Fireman is the one in the black tank top.

Alright Fireman,

I don't see a picture. Regardless, man.. I've said this a few times on this forum to a few different people... Your turn, Fireman... Great minds think alike!!! This just gets better and better!!!

... And, you know, now, I see the link in the quote, but it's not in your post!?!?!? Now I just learned something regarding a little anomaly which is not just a result of the new forum format programming. In the past, with the previous format, I've seen at least several posts talking about a picture or video attached that wasn't there. Well, now it seems it's there, but simply isn't appearing as it should. From now on, when this occurs, I'll simply hit the "reply with quote" button, and I'm assuming, now, That I'll see it, as I do right now:D So you see, I may just be a dumb kid from Brooklyn... But I'm not stupid:rolleyes:.

Now Fireman, You have no idea how badly I want to be going out with my family on the boat, the way you've been. It's sunny, warm, and beautiful boating weather here, too. In the beginning of this proposed adventure, as you know, I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it. The odds were against it, and that was killin' me. I told you I'd be cutting back, working hard, and saving all I could... Well, All that, it turns out, just wouldn't have cut it. I realized this several weeks ago. I remedied that in a profound manner. To this day, my boat has still never tasted salt water. Well, the first time she gets her feet wet (so to speak), this season, will be in the salt water of ST AUGUSTINE!!!:D I've cut out all but absolutely necessarry spending to make this get together happen with my participation. The boat remains dry for now.

So Fireman... Touche. I CAN'T WAIT TILL JUNE 18TH!!!:p How many more days, minutes, seconds, moments, miliseconds, fleeting lapses in time, slash marks on the calendar, clock, stopwatch... OK, stop me now.... Please, before I explode!!!

All kidding aside, Fireman, and everyone involved... You just don't know how much this get together means to my family and I. Sasto knows the backround of this little fact which I'll share now. The last vacation my family and I had, was in the beginning of July... 2007. Now you have a better idea of how much this get together means to me.

Really can't wait to meet you guys.:D
