I understand, that kind of night is one to look out for everyone in the group. Heck, I would probably back off on the drinking before the night was over, I don't drink as much anymore as when younger.

No worries, Fireman. We will decide what to do as the time nears. Things seem to change here as the weather does. We have some business to take care of up north on the 17th. I need to be clear headed, that should give me plenty of time. If somehow things are resolved before then, which is possible, we may bring a boat.

I will also have to find a place to stay, may check into one of the places that are within walking distance since if in boat no ride and even if in car would not be safe for me to drive after doing a pub crawl, would probably have to crawl to where I am staying.

I checked out the Bayview Inn, a 2 minute walk and the rates look great....less than $100.

Especially if we made a whole day of it. Hit every little riverside watering hole and stopping at some of the dunes for grilling lunch & maybe some tubing.

Dang!. How can I pass this up. There is a good chance if I do bring a boat I will be headed north on a delivery. I doubt I am willing to travel there and head back by boat. I need a break from boats once in awhile. Not many times I get to enjoy being on or around boats that I have no responsibility over.

I have searched several different ways, I have not found Bayview Inn at St Augustine. I did find Bayfront Inn @ $159.00 + tax =$174 for 6/11/2011-6/12/2011, rate per day the same if I price 2 nights instead of one. Am I looking at the right place, it's location is; 111 East Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, FL 32084. There is a place next door to them that is under $100.00, it seems to be an older mom and pop style place. I'm going to keep looking.

You are correct, Bayfront. I double checked the cost and you are correct again. I'll keep looking also. Keep me posted on what you find. There is plenty of transportation in the area. If we are coming by car I am bringing bicycles. Looking foreward to meeting you, nlain.

I looked at most of those B&B's, they are all proud of a place the lay your head down for a nap, some are not bad during the week but if you want the weekend then they stick it to you. I checked on some that were not too bad and they were already booked that weekend. Still looking, may wind up in the older motor lodge, the pics do not look bad, the reviews on it are not much different from what I read on Bayfront Inn. Going to look a little more before I decide.

The motor lodge is Marion Motor Lodge right next door to the Bayfront Inn.

This happens to me every year. I get planning out a 5-6 day trip on the boat (250 miles) and I get antsy. I know how much fun the wife and I have on the trip around, hanging out in 'Old Town' for 3 days, and the fun we have during the summer in Daytona and Ponce Inlet.

Weather was great yesterday and went on a 200 mile motorcycle ride. I'm just getting a little taste of summer again and I can't wait.

Looking forward you meeting you guys (and everyone else) as well.

Like a poker run but without the hurry.

I'm thinking I might trailer up there and then ride the the boat down with the flotilla. I just need to work out with a friend to drag my trailer back.

I located a Best Western Spanish Quarters nearby for $97 Sat. and $67 Sunday. Not as close as the Motor Lodge, but still within walking distance.
