We arrived in St Augustine just in time to get the Jeep covered and luggage in the room before the sky let loose. It is storming its but off. Thats ok, we have coolers and a nice cool room to hang out in til we can walk down to the marina.

Although I haven't posted much in this thread, I have been following it. I was hoping to be able to meet up at some point with everyone, but unfortunately I can't get out of work. Had to take time off last weekend for my son's birthday & my in-laws being in town, so I can't get out this weekend. I hope you guys have a great time.

Well, so far so good, We Spent Wednesday night on the hook just north of Lake George. Made it to Jacksonville Landings Thursday afternoon about 4:00 and spent the night there. Friday morning, cruised south down the ICW and met up with Veritu Honus & wife/kids who had Sasto & Kimi in tow. We tied his boat behind ours and pulled it along as everyone climbed aboard and got aquainted. It was a nice ride into St. Augustine and docked up & got settled without issues. We all sat around Friday night after the rains came thru and got to know each other. We were joined by Nlain & his wife along with theire grandkids and later by mnypitboat and his wife/daughter. A very nice evening. We put fishing poles in the hands of the kids and they proceeded to try to remove every fish from around the dock! Mullet, flounder, and about a billion little shiners were there for the taking.

Saturday everyont got back together at the dock and we all spent the day eating, drinking, and chatting. We grilled burgers, dogs, ribs, and fish throughout the day. There might have been a drink or two poured as well, but I was amazed to see that everyone was pretty well behaved...also somewhat dissappointed!

There are tons of pics that were taken and I'd like to get a bunch together before posting. I promise there will be more to come.

Well Fireman I went here to ask for forgiveness for the past few days. Wow, my knees hurt from the length of time I had to spend. OK, back at it again!

Then we stopped by this place....I found nlain's name on the origional registery.

Mr. and Mrs. Fireman...........The Marine Patrol slowed down as we were cruising the waterway and shouted to us that Fireman was the best thing he had seen on the water all day. The Mrs had him strapped to the bow pulpit.

It was great to meet everyone. Sorry we didnt get a chance to spend more time with you guys. We had some things happen Saturday that prevented us from getting back over there. All I have to say is I am glad my kid is 12. LOL. We spent the afternoon at the beach, then came back to the hotel pool then dinner and bed. Next year we will hopefully bring a boat, and definately stay closer to the marina.

This was a really great weekend, met some great people and I think made some great friends. To all of you who said you would be there and for whatever reason could not make it, you missed a great time with great people. Everything did not go as we had planned but we worked around those things. The kids, both young and old had a great time, I am working on some photos that I took, he he, I may just put a couple of links to photobucket in a post so all can view from there. Also may post a few in here. My wife also had a camera and took some pics also, all will be in photobucket.

Yes, I think everyone had fun, I know we all enjoyed the great company of everyone there, had some great food cooked by VH and Fireman, dogs, burgers, ribs and finally fish, all on the grill. We had some great adult beverages, no one drank too much, I think it was just too hot to drink a lot. I put down several bottles of water along with the adult beverages. It was a great weekend, wish you all could have been there. We are going to be working on another one for later in the year and further South in Florida, so there will be another chance for you all to join a get together in Florida. We South Ga people have infiltrated the Floridian parties so they are open to all now. Actually always have been open to all, stay tuned there is more to come.

It was certainally great to have met you nlain. I had a wonderful time with you as well as the others. I really hope you make it here in September. I will post some photos as time allows. Just returned home to unpack and repack for a 4 day boat trip tomorrow. Work now begins, Dang!

We arrived at our motel

Met up with Veritas Honus and his wonderful family. We had sooo much in common.

The next morning we headed north in veritas honus's boat to meet Fireman and family. Fireman gave a short lesson to veritas honus Jr.Jr.

Then Jr.Jr gave veritas honus a lesson and he took the wheel.
