She looks great! You should get many good years ( decades) of use out of her.

Are you going to add another axle, or are you planning to move the original axles back some?

She is a beauty on her trailer!!! Just concerned that you don't have enough support under your stern. Since you are going to be adding a lot more weight with motors and such she will be very stern heavy and doesn't look like she has enough support. I am with 52Ford regarding how you are going to redistribute the weight? Looks like maybe another one or two axles are needed IMHO. Either way, still is amazing work you are doing and wish I had the room to take on that kind of project

Thanks SHSU!

Thanks Watermann!

Thanks Frey! She be splashed real soon.

Here's some pictures from this weekend:

She's on the trailer, but hanging off the back a little farther than I want. I'm going to have to weld on another frame section for support ::) I sure thought the trailer would be big enough. I still need to weld up some back side guides anyway. (and buy 3 more new wheels and tires)

Next up is finding a temporary main power 2 stroke for under 2 grand. Make some shelf rod holders, an aluminium rocket launcher, and the aluminium hand holds for walking the shelf to the anchor well. Oh, and I guess I should take care of the tax man...
Just me... not sure I don't like the look of the side windows.

Thanks for watching out for me 52FordF2 & SHSU!

I won't be adding an axle since total weight will be around 5K fully loaded with everything needed for the ocean. (4500 pounds for Chesapeake bay fishing) The axles are 3500 pound each. I have around 300 pounds on the tongue right now which will change after 600 pounds of engines and 350 pounds of fuel.

I have around 20" to move the axle back without drilling any new holes. What I don't like is the 40 inches of stern sitting on the bunks only. So, I bought some metal today to weld a new support on the back.

Here are some better pictures:

Just me... not sure I don't like the look of the side windows.

They might not be sexiest side windows ever made. I agree they are very rectangular for such sexy boat sheer, but I spent less than $300 on all the windows and hardware..... I'd rather go fishing right now and save the $3000 for windows later.

I've built this boat on a cash only basis since my wife and I are such Dave Ramsey fans. I'm sitting around $13,000, but still need to buy the main motor.

I do agree with you kcassells, but I'm not sure I could have changed anything and still had the same utility of a 3' opening window

Yep, those bunks take a lot of weight without any support. Is she going to be a trailer queen or stay on the lake/ocean?

hmm thanks for the feed back. BTW my opinion really means nothing. That is a cool boat. I concur on the $$. And I sure do understand the value. I wish I was that far along and all I want to do is fish! The SEX look can always be added later. Thank you again.

She'll be living on the trailer and I agree about the bunks. I live a mile through the woods from the Chesapeake bay... I'm going to launch and tie up the boat this weekend for the trailer modifications.

Lol... you're not going to hurt my feelings cassells. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I was just giving some kind of explanation of why I did what I did. I want to go Tuna fishing so bad..... ha ha

LoL... saran wrap....

I've got a good friend up in North East, MD. His last boat went out without windows at all.... that's wanting to fish real bad. His new boat is a 27' Jumbo so we'll get to buddy boat out to the tuna grounds. I've been on his boat a few trips and it's a very salty boat. One of those that will get you back in when you should have left a few hours ago.

My wife was complaining a little about half way through the build... I made a trip on my friends boat and brought some Tuna home.... it was all good then. Except, she's been pushing me to finish. I'm not sure that's a bad thing or not. lol

Didn't get to touch the trailer this weekend.... taking some time to stew on it.

In the meantime, there's lots of welding and fabrication to do. The pilot house rooftop hand holds are done.

The 7 rod rooftop rocket launcher is almost done.

The cuddy and back cabin hand holds are cut out and ready to weld. So are the 10 shelf rod holders.

Everything is being built out of Aluminum and ran me $220
