Re: sold a boat and it busted!

same thing happend to me... only not as big of a boat.. i bought a 1977 14' seaking aluminum boat... great boat, OLD engine... and the guy i bought it from, we knew each other.. and he told me it was an old motor, even started it up.. had a fuel problem and he fixed right there for free... took it out on the lake.. and the engine acted up again....REALLY REALLY bad fishing day that was... but i could have tooken the motor back and yelled at him... but i didnt.. cuz i knew it was MY boat now not his... and I should have to fix it.... i fixed mine the other day.. turned out to be the fuel pump got bumped cuz when i was playing with it.. it looked brand new ... so i put it back and now it runs fine! :D

I would tell him ... "well looks like your gonna be learning alot about motors now!"

HOLY CRAP CB!!
Look into the mail records for an address change about the time of the supposed fire...
It costs about 7 bucks at the post office to get the info...it did years ago when i did it anyway.
This is insane!

Re: sold a boat and it busted!

ok as luck would have it I am a mail man (rual carrier for the USPS) if the mail box was not destroied in the fire we continue to deliver of a week or two if at that point the mail has not been picked up it is brought back top the post office where we hold it for 10 days if it has not been claimed with in that 10 day we creat a "employee generated change of address" the new address is listed as moved left no forward it takes up to 2 weeks for this change to go through the system after that all first class and some second class mail is returned to sender as moved left no forward and the mail that dose still come through is marked UTF (unable to forward) so my point is anythiung that was sent to him if you have not got it back HE HAS IT

Holy crap, now I'm hooked. Best episode of Law & Order I have ever read. I am getting ready to donate my boat to Boat Angel. I hope I don't end up with a summons!

By the way does anyone have a link to the aforementioned "Twins" discussion/forum/thread? I know someone somewhere has it archived. LOL

With a flake like that, I wouldn't put it past him.
This has really gotten beyond harassment at this point.
I sure hope your keeping tabs on your time wasted for a counter suit.

I think its time this country came up with some enforceable laws to keep crap like this from going on. The kid needs to be taught a lesson on not wasting the courts time and your time.

Why is it that when I picture this kid I see a kid that ran home to mommy everytime he got picked on or beat up in school after instigating the fight.
In other words, a whiny little, spoiled crybaby.

I fully knew what you were getting at. Guns are not to kid around about and stupid to bring up in this situation imo

Oh man... I think you need to turn off your idiot magnet CB

I don't think one needs a magnet these days to find an idiot. They seem more plentiful lately for some reason.

Unfortunately you just can't fix stupid and most idiots also don't fall very fall from the tree either. It seems he's dealing with a family of them. Until the court system figures out a way to keep this kind of stuff from happening, over and over, the rest of us are stuck dealing with it. Maybe sort of an IQ test or license to allow one to interact with society. It would eliminate a lot of wasted time and money. Maybe even an IQ test to avoid sterilization too.
I can't count how many hours get wasted every day dealing with the not so bright members of society. Spent two hours in Home Depot waiting for someone with a "Home Depot Fork Lift License" to load four pallets onto my truck the other day. Then it took 3 people to do that, one to supervise, one to drive and one as a 'spotter' with his little red flag. To top it all off, the guy driving didn't remember how to start the thing, and the only control on the whole dash was a starter switch. Another scary thought is that we have an election coming up and these types of people can also vote.
Somehow natural selection has failed us.

There is no rhyme or reason why CB should have to endure this kind of headache just because of some spoiled, whiny little scam artist in training. He needs to made an example of and should be made to pay for all the time wasted which none of those involved will ever get back. He's wasting CB's time and money, he's wasting tax payer's money and he's clogging up the system which should be taking care of real issues.
While we can say he needs to be dealt with in many ways, the problem probably goes even deeper if mommy's also so involved. It's more than likely not just him that needs dealing with. We can only hope for CB's sake that the judges involved in this see it the same way.

Re: sold a boat and it busted!

I was watching the news tonight. They were interviewing people that participated in Ohio's "register and vote" program. Yes, you can register and vote in the same day and cast your ballot as early as this. This is NOT politics and I am not trying to skew this forum.....but this thread sure reminds me of what I heard on the newscast tonight. The person interviewed DID NOT mention either candidate, she did not try to tie either candidate to the current administration. Her quote was " voting is important. Now that I'm registered I can make sure I cast my vote if George Bush ever runs for President again" . She was in her late 40's / early 50's. She may be this kid's Mommy. Stupid people are everywhere !

Re: sold a boat and it busted!

ok.......so .......cb......whats the game plan?

have you got the/a mechanic lined up for court?

are you practising with the lawyer?????????? a polished presentation allways looks good.

remember.......dont offer him a red cent.....they tricked you last time on that one.......

this ones for all the marbles bud.......just like if you were going into court for the first time......get ready.....get prepaired....get yer game face on.
we know that contrrary to the law or nature of the agreement things can go either way....so all the prep is totally worth it.

im glad they secduled it close....(the 20 th).

only 2 more weeks.

cheers bud

Jiminy Christmas on a pogo stick!!! I just killed 4 and 1/2 hours reading this thread. So much for productivity. Gotta feel bad for Bumpkin, this thing has more twists and turns than my favorite mystery writer, and took longer too.:eek::(

Re: sold a boat and it busted!

cb......i just re-read a few pages fro the start.....the kid said it ran outta oil......slowed down.....started to knock......

if you can get him back to that....and that he never checked the oil pressure gauge or the temp....especially when he noticed it acting up.......you will have him cold..........(remind him that you whowed hin the clean and full dip stick)

the spirit of the law, says that a person must do what is reasonable....and what an average person would do in a simmelar circumstance......he didnt.....done.....and thats just one way hes done...
