Had our annual labor day weekend party on the sandbar. Put the grill on the barge and cooked for many folks. 40 burgers...72 brats... 6 racks of pork ribs (I smoked these on shore and took them out). Countless plates of deserts and cookies and fruits...A good time was had by all.

Hoping every one else has a great and fun Labor day weekend!!! 7154.jpeg

Looks like a blast.Went to camp sat morning. At the beginning of the reservoir when me and a friend were leaving to boat up 27 miles it lightly rained then stopped. At my brothers camp it had turned to dark and it stormed bigtime. No walleye this time but did manage to get a bunch of northern pike at perfect eating size (4lbs)Lousy weather all weekend except for when we were coming home of course.Scored a thermos gas lantern.model 8326 from up there.Uses reg gas.

Woke up with it raining;did it off and on all day; still doing it. Got to get ready for "Gorden". Won't take long. Heard on TV that this year 5 Holidays this year (so far) have affected the City of Houston with rain; street flooding;etc. Have friends down still not recuped from "Harvey".

Got another Pet; had him about a week. Smart Dog;; house broken; sleeps in a kennel. OP hung a bell on the doorknob; he rings it when its time. First time out in the backyard He got a mouth full of squirrel fur.(That was Funny)!

Admiral is good to go with her arm.

Took 2 months 4 us. Didnt try the bell, wish we did. We have a Husky and they're the toughest breed to potty train except for a handful of ankle biters...

You typed two words that made me shudder; "Back and Surgeon"! Good luck with the outcome.

Weather here has been crazy; showers off and on. Obviously watch the grass grow.

Can give a pet update. We named him "Gordon"; after the H. I'm guessing his schedule was "Sleep all Day; play all night".
Outside was 10; 2; and 4 (AM). He has a new one (He doesn't like); 10 at night; and around 5 or so in the AM. Definitely a "Mama's dog"! GOOD!

Bought a 5x10 square tube utility trailer for my atv today. Its used.Wood floor is excellent ,but it needs some spruceing up on the paint and 2 very small rust holes to patch or replace.Less than half what a new one costs.14 inch tires and good spare and fold down ramp also.It was traded in this morning and I bought it at 12:30 pm approximately.

Gonna need a picture of the new ruler of your abode there Redfred1

If you want to see Gordon; type in Border Collie! Got to be a mix; legs are shorter. One thing I can say: the original owners spent of lot of time with this dog; or he is naturally smart. He comes up with a new thing every day.

Wow, got a handful with a border collie...wicked smart dogs...so smart they can make you think you were the one that did something wrong. I wish you many years of enjoyable companionship. Nothing beats a good dog.

Used to know a lady who always had at least 6 Border Collies at a time. She trained them for agility competitions and I think she spent about thirty hours a day training. Smartest dogs around but they can learn bad habits as quick as good ones. Get one of those rubber frizbees such as Kong or Nerf makes. You can give a dog a lot of exercise while you get to stand in one place with a frizbee. Good Luck!

A friend use to have a dog that demanded to play fetch at camp.We got the bright idea to get a contraption that would allow you to toss a ball far.So the day came to wear the mutt out .We tossed that ball in the lake for what seemed like a thousand times even taking turns!Let me tell you it was unconditional surrender on our part .That damn dog wore out 3 men ,lol.
