Actually, I play nearly everything on the 12. And ... overdrive sounds great on a six, but you should hear it on a 12 :) The Sigma is what I play most, and it's got the same rich full sound as the Martin.

I love the Taylors. Great sounding guitars.

Took the ss160 out today and towed it with the 2013 ford edge for the first time.Did not even notice the boat behind her.Unfortunately the water was too rough so I came home unhooded then went up to Krown rustproofing and made an app for Friday to get the new ride done. Its well worth the money to do that every year it saves the body on the suv .

First time I read that ^^^ I plugged "F150" for some reason. Second run through I caught that it was the Edge. Those are impressive cars. A buddy of mine got one recently and they love it.

One of my jamming buds showed up with a Rickenbacker 12 string a couple of months ago. He is a fantastic lead guitar and pedal steel player and he did all the breaks on the classic country songs on our list. I couldn't believe how nice it sounded. The crowd we get has an average age of around 70 but they seemed to really get into it. Probably reminded them of the 1960's listening to the Byrds or Graham Parsons. Though he didn't play any of our bluegrass sets he probably could have made it fit.

I'm an "okay" player ... but I live near Nashville ... so, relatively speaking: I stink :)

I've played a little bluegrass on mine, tons of folk and light rock stuff and even a little harder rock. It usually lands pretty well with folks. I have a friend out east who has about 6 guitars ... NONE of them have 6 strings. One 12 string, one 5 string baritone and four 4 string tenors. Interesting sounds from any of 'em.

Was going to go salmon fishing this a.m. but after checking the marine forecast for whitefish bay/lake superior I will be passing on that.Weather warnings for the entire area which means me and my 16 footer stay home and live to fish another day.My youngest brother has been a rocker from the 80,s on.Can play any instrument put in front of him and currently does jazz I believe and builds guitars. He did a stint in beatlemania and actually did elvis on a cruise ship out of FLA.

Went out today with boat in tow.I realized that my ford edge is narrower than my f150 was so I need add on mirrors so I can see properly when towing and backing up.My friend sold me a nice set of clamp on towing mirrors .Hopefully that will solve my problem. Then just to make my day interesting somebody tried to break in to the house beside me so I called the cops.Non paying tenant that disappeared and came back to try and get stuff that the landlord had legally seized. The meth heads had totaled the house and its going to cost the landlord many bucks to fix up.Feel sorry for her she,s a niece person.

Have been out of pocket for a while. Got to cut some grass early before the heat. Birthday party around 12.

Sad News! My "Bell ringer" passed last week. (Kidneys) Gonna stop by Animal Control on the way home and find another puppy.

Local stuff earlier this week! The road in front of the house dead ends into a "T". Before the "T" there is a raised R/R track that is like a ramp. Three boys ( one 16; other two 15) stole a SUV and were being chased by the locals, They guessed the SUV hit the ramp at over 100mph and sailed a estimated 100+ft; landed upside down and exploded. Set the woods on fire! Nobody survived. D. Driver's Dad in Prison (Drugs); Mother (?) complaining that they were being chased too fast.

Not today but 2 days ago. Rigged up a electric lift on my garden tractor to raise/lower mower deck and rear sleeve hitch. Total cost of project was only $48. I found this linear actuator on ebay for 40 bucks it is heavy duty and rated at 500#.

Just got back from a whirlwind weekend with honorable #2 daugher ;) Spent a couple days down in the Florida panhandle hiding from work - visited the USS Alabama in Mobile and the Naval Aviation Museum. We also did a day or so in Panama City Beach where I got to do my first saltwater dives. Got to dive on the USS Strength and one of the local sunken bridge spans ... and met my first shark! :)eek:) :)eek:)

Today's project:
20180827_102908-2268x3024.jpg remove all the plow harness and mounts, reinstall the airbag bar. Then take all the takeoffs, buy adaptors and such and install on a 2001 chevy...fun stuff. All this work will allow the neighbor to have a lot nicer more reliable plow truck. We all have looong driveways (1/4 mile minimum) so we need to have our own plows.

image_299795.jpg 95 degrees out today and I finally decided to dig up a 550 gallon diesel tank on one of my properties that I haven’t used since the late 1970’s. I dug a little ramp on one side but since it was tight against the foundation of one of the outbuildings a lot of hand shoveling was involved. It actually went better than I expected, as I had no one to help. Never thought I would have it out and on skids in less than 6 hours but there were no rocks, just hard yellow clay. My wife wasn’t impressed and only wants to know what I am going to do with it now. She was even less impressed when I told her “I haven’t thought about that yet.”

I was thinking if after a month or so of rain to wash the mud off I might paint it barn red and roll it out by the road with a "for sale $250.00" sign and hope some meth head might steal it.
