Ordered some materials to start putting the deck down. Got caught between jobs and just started a new one. So far pretty Happy. So also working on the yard, made a Wattle fence. Crap thats alot of work. opened the boat to air out. Doing a lot of little richard things on the boat to make sure I'm ahead of the game.
OH yea... The mulch is still there plus some.

Ok , cool fence ... I have a big pile of cut bambo ... May have to do some wattling ! :joyous:
What you do install it around the mulch pile ?

Nah, around a garden. All the wood came off from around the house. Price was right. But the heat was intense/humidty.
Came out ok, more to add.
Bamboo saps would have been my choice Sam.

Alright so I've read a million options on paint. The paint will be for the deck and gunwales. I have an epoxy deck etc, not poly. I like Woodonglass rustoleum formula but want to consider upgrades for longevity.
I also want to use out of can colors wihout tinting.
I will be using brush/tip, not spray.
I need a base/primer
I need a color that will bind to the base.
Thinking this may be a trailer queen but not 100% sure.
I just want to do it right the 1st time.
Concerned about the transom if she sits in the water awhile.
Appreciate all and everyone's opinions.

2 part Epoxy paint or urethane paint are the "BEST" but...You WON'T like the prices Interlux Perfection is approx. 1
$100 for a quart kit which yields around 1 1/4 qts of paint. For your boat you'll need 5-6 quarts. The Rustoleum Formula IS a two part paint but...It's acrylic and there for NOT as Hard and durable as the Epoxies and "Thanes"
Send ZOOL a PM he is VERY knowledgeable about the High End Marine Paints!!!;)

As with all paint jobs, your budget will dictate the product....with roll and tip, you have somewhat limited choices. Just try to use a system that has an epoxy based primer, and a brushing thinner available to help flow out.

Sterling and Awlgrip will be the best, and most $$$....Personally, I would use either LP.

Pettit and Interlux a close second $$

Or our trusted friend, an enamel like Rustoleum, ect. $

Heres a comprehensive tutorial using Sterling LP.

Not Sure yet Z. Probably off white with anti skid in another color. I can't seem to find a color selection chart yet. Heading back out to the boat. Finally no rain.

What category of rustoleum brands would be the best to use for above water. I will be adding a hardner and thinner per Woods formula.
