Got to it this morning and pretty happy. Acually very happy. Spome buds showed up so that helped plus no Eagles until 4. Templated the left side fishwell. This one was for some reason a pia. But knocked it out. Still alittle fit trimming to do but very happy. :D
Set all in place with the caps I saved just for this purpose. Too cool says I!! Gettin there. This week shows alot of weather promise so I can make the little trim outs and begin to set deck. Need some access hatches for the tank...no biggy.
Heading back outside to wet out the new wood. 10-1-deck 1.jpg

So not sure if Baylinerchuck came up with this idea but I sure do like it for locking down my tank and giving me a way to seal it up. Kudos if you did.
All the wood needs to be pb'ed, leveled, squared up and then I can also add the neoprenes I have to finish it off. Got to tell ya drilling thru Woodonglass
paint formula, wood and glass seemed like going thru steel.

No Title

Can't say I came up with that on my own. I moved the fuel tank forward a bit. I modified what Chaparral had already done extending the supports wider to help carry the deck where the seat pedestals are mounted. I also laminated plywood together instead of using dimensional lumber. It's pretty cool you remembered that from my build.

Well Baylinerchuck pretty much what this forum is all about. Read, look, listen, ask, absorb, apply. I had alternative ideas that were much easier to do. I felt this was the best structural application of what you did whether a little different to you than me. :D

Just did vacuuming, sanding, cleaning and dinking on the boat this morning. Figguring cleat placements, next cuts, paint the bilge again Hitting the sack. Pot roast on slow and go. Damn it smells good around the house today.
Heart out to everyone who may have been affected by the Las Vegas nightmare.

Was nice to have a clean hull for 15 min. Got to cutting the overhang off the prior deck pcs to lay on the new cleats. So here they are in pics. I predrilled and left them loose. I think I'll find it a lot easier and cleaner to the pb in the gap rather than slathering it on and working it. We'll see.

So here is a question. 3/4" deck so what depth screw? I bought 15/8" to sink the deck, is that proper?

Used my electric planer to square the wood up going over the tank. Definitely do noy want and wood flexing onto the top of the tank. 4 areas will get neoprene under it for lockdown. Soaked out ant raw wood, made some pb, set, leveled out the wood. Letting it set up so I can start the next pc of the puxxle.
Have a great day guys!
