Every time I see your boat I think wow it is huge compared to mine. Looks like a wall in a house going on there. Don't take it wrong it looks great. Mine only got a couple boards in the floor. No studs and plumbing going on.

Like my wife says.... ha ha ha.
It's really not, it's just the deep v thing going on and the all that. Once it's in the water it'll shrink. I see you're kickin some butt too!

No biggys today just sealing all the holes and sleeves I drilled out yesterday. Also began wetting out cleats for next batch of work. Stinks waiting for things to dry. Too hot then the wood doesn't soak it up. Yup says i!

You are really working up a storm there kc. Every time I turn around you've got a big bunch of work accomplished. Nice job by the way.

Thanks T, trying to get the floor in beforeOle Time Winter shows up.;)
I am with you there. It is moving in here. Knock out as much outside work as I can. Won't be long i will be out there with a push broom knocking the snow off the tarps. I need to build a second garage for some of my toys get them out of the house garage. And get the boat a dry warm home.

I've worked/glassed in the boat during a couple snow winters. With the floor in, some heat that'll let me get alot of little things out of the way. A floor...whoda thunk.

Played with another template for the side storage fishwells. Still have a lot more work to do to make these fit. Gotta start somewhere.

You need to do some dumpster diving to get some big boxes, I had mixed results with taping too many pieces together...looks good tho :thumb:

Well that's how I got this cardboard and I agree, bigger sheets are better. Work has them lying around so the price is right. Gorilla tape keeps them pretty tight too. Use to get that fan foam at my local HD but they stopped carrying it. That was perfect.

Here's a question for the sages. Any opinions on Epoxy only VS. Epoxy/glassing the underside of the deck. Thanks for feed back.

Did the hot glue too alot of times. Didn't feel like digging around to find glue and gun. Biut yes it does do the job.
Well I decided to trash the cardboard in this application. Simply to many variables to contend with. Tom am when I get home I'm gonna make a ply template and hope it works and mod as I need.

I used empty beer boxes for templates.........they didn't work all that well, but it was a lot of fun emptying them to get enough to do the job. :very_drunk:

Yo hey the coolest day for me. Fitting the well in really kinda made me sweat with all the variables. Thank God for my BUDS to help take off the pressure. I did a combination of larger cardboard zool and hot glue gun chevymaher . Picked up another sheet of 3/4 ply and went to town.
I seriously can't believe how well it work out on the 1st cut. Still gots a little trimming to do and a template for the other side says I. This freakin thing may actually get on the water before my bucket list craps on me. Thanks GUYS! Long day gots to eat dinner and celebrate my grandaughters bd tomorrow. I'll bet I cut in the other side in the am. or tonight after a crisp nod out.

Only had 1 feed back opinion;
Underside of deck...Using EEEEEPPPPPoooxxy;
1; Just coat it and walk away
2. Glass it w/ eeeepppoooxxy
opinions welcomed. 1 holy crap fishwell 9-29.jpg

I think from most of the epoxy crowd I have seen is just the epoxy no glass .
But if ya got the cloth it couldn't take that much more epoxy to wet it out ..

Just coat it with a few coats of epoxy for condensation protection and call it a day....you could skin it if u like, but it may only add to retaining any moisture that gets in there, ....but im lazy..so thats just me :couch2:

Got back to the well and fitted it out. Came out nice. Wetted out that section of deck both side. So maybe a tip here but I'm sure everyone is up to speed. So in order to wet out both sides at the same time and not wait for it to dry. I use screws to elevate the pc. im doing. So that area may rest on a few screws vs. on a flat se=urface. Wet out then flip over. The screw heads keep it off the flat....
And then I did the cleats with pb.
Yo all good..
Fitted 9-30-1.jpg deck 1 fitted 9-30-2.jpg cleats 9-30-3.jpg mo cleats 9-30-5.jpg

So on another note I screw in the cleats. So as it goes the pb fills the screw heads and its a pia to remove. I go back with the drill fitting wetted out w/acetone and push it in. That gives me an easy out to remove the screws then fill later.
