So I began reworking the teak. My original template of cardboard I determined was too soft and actually flexed off cue. Redid the template and backed with wood. Based on that I worked the teak and glued wood back together.
Plus my sons bbq bday today so running all over.

Looking at the pics I realized I did not show the template with the wood. Got back on it today and started more fitting of the teak. Eppoooxxy cured nicely. Still have to add a smidge of teak to top, cut to fit and get ready for install.
Tried to fit other side with cut wood but seems not to be quite their. Happy with the joints. Lost the concept of using dowels.

It is getting me all excited seeing it getting done.
Well Bruce I am going back to 3rd shift next Mon. I like that shift. Plus I have all the mornings back to me when I get home in addition to 4/10's.
You will be seeing much more of me soon enough.
PS... As always thank you for the encouragement.

FINALLY ok with the teak wood border. Cut fit, cut fit, sand , cut fit. And I am without a doubt a wood non-carpenter. Meaning if I can do it anyone can.
Teak is a challenge based on it's oil content but doable.
Joints were done with EEEppooxxyy and I did end up doing a pc. of glass on the back on the diagonal cut. The glue with all the efforts etc. just wouldn't take strong enough. Looked nice but eventually seem to fail. Hence the glass. I also saved all the oily sanding powder and added that to my Eeeppooxyy on the last application hoping for a better color match.
In any event the 1 pc. shown added up to 5 pcs. being cut to fit from the block wood ordered.
Def. more sanding plus install. Bought a plug maker dohickey.

So I fitted the teak and here is how it looks. It's definitely not very spectacular so here it is. I like it but was looking for more effect. May have to roll it across the bow under the windows.
Not finished with the screws they will be addressed. Just temp.

So beating a dead dog in regards to the teak. Final install, multi trimming, sanding and Watco teak oil. Looks acceptable to me. plugs added. add'l sanding etc.
Oh yea..No other tools other than a sander, jigsaw, drill and plug cutter.

Well on my end the tarp/tent I bought 2-3 years ago has turned to shreds. I was going to buy another one but the wife has convinced me to build a real shed. Looking to build a shed that meets my storage and rehab needs.
Sucks but way overdue. Diddle on the other stuff but Mr. winter is about to be here sooooo....

I'm leaning to something like 14 x 12. My neighbor says he has the wood and panels to supply me at awesome rates. Some is not as fresh as I like but still worth the deal. Time to get busy again.

Might check into a metal building like an RV cover .. There really not that expensive and you dont have to lift a finger .. They could have it up in a day at the most .. Even if its just a roof and not the sides ..
A thought anyway ..

OIC, the shed is for a work area/storage, and the boat still gets covered...12x14 is a nice size

Yup, the boat tarp has a tear or two but they are easy to repair. That holds up pretty well and provides good space to work inside while covered. The shed is for workspace and storage right behind the boat.

Checked out the lumber from my buddy neighbor and it is ok but in need of help. So I pulled the trigger on this. I'll frame inside to make it noteworthy.
I will be able to fabricate the decking with his free materials. So time to get busy and clear some ground.
Plan to make exterior extended decking etc.
