86' Johnson 225 VRO, Was running, def will need tweaking. Fingers crosssed. What engine are/will be running?
Only on my stand. It's a beast!Did you have the chance to run the engine on that boat before the hull repair?
I don't know that. It is rated for 225 hp max. Perhaps one of the motor gurus know? Why is it that walk around boats with the same hull as center consoles max horse power rating seems to be lower? What is you max rated?
Here's a cool vid on building a Chesapeake Dead Rise. And a steam box.I don't know that. It is rated for 225 hp max. Perhaps one of the motor gurus know?
I just bought an 8kw diesel heater a month ago, under $160. works great, my boats in the water for the winter, been 20degs no problem heating a 34ft less than a gallon a dayWell my little piggy heater showed up today so............off to buy deisel and a can. Tank of unit holds 1 gal. Other guys say the burn is @ .02 gal per 8 hrs. so this should be good for me.
Gave it a temp set up. Ran like a swiss chinese clock. Tik tok...
anyhow it does give off some heat. I kept the zipper flapper open, jumped the unit on the battery. Ignition was cool to watch as it diagnosed itself.
Long story short 34 deg here, flap wide open for exhaust and boat maintained 60 deg. Not bad considering once I put a flap door on the back of the cabine and the other heat goes into the cuddy this should be more than enought to take off the chill and warm us up.
I'll need to work out a support an venting. All good.
