You have to change your password when you log in for the first time on the new server.

You have to change your password when you log in for the first time on the new server.

Actually you don't even have to change it, used the same old one.

Just had to attempt to logon, get a failed logon message, choose reset password, get email w reset instructions, click on emailed link and follow steps to logon. When asked for a new password, choose the old 1 and type it in.....

hassle, I know, they're working on it...

Give me 5min and I'll send you a PM.

logoff the forum, clear your browsers cache, restart the computer, load the forum (just pull up a random forum page, NOT the login screen.

let me know if theres a small red dot w a # in it in your avatar at the top right corner of a forum page, again NOT your profile or the login screen.

I suspect theres a problem between the server and your computers caches, but thats just a quess.

As soon as I hit Post Reply, I'll send a PM.

When you do try to log on, you'll likely need to do the PW reset again as well.

Rather - This is the same problem I had after the upgrade. The process dropped underscores "_" out of usernames and another old member had the same name without "_", in my case GABoater.

Admin has been notified and should fix you up, probably tomorrow. I didn't lose anything - That was good.

Sorry RatherB, my advise above isn' likely to fix anything and I suspect you can't check your Old.

New advise from the PM you don't get until problem is corrected:
Just figured out the problem, not your cache or PW, its a new vB glitch that doesnt recognize space or Underscore in a user name like the previous vB software did...

The forum software/server thinks you (RatherBboatin) ARE Rather_b_boatin, this will take admins assistance.

the 1st several times I clicked your user name and Rather_b_boatin's profile loaded, I didnt notice. Just now I sent him a PM (thinking it was you) and when the sent page refreshed I caught a quick glimpse at the date of his last logon, sometime in 2012..... So not you....

At least 1 other user had the same problem. Thanks for putting up w the problem this long..

Might take a couple of days next week to be resolved, but admin can get it done.

thanks again
John

Hope iboats_tim gets the message I sent him and the multiple @ notifies and resolves this quick for you

Apologies again for the delay in getting it handled..

OK, thanks you. I am not able to check PM's so any info I can access would need to be here.

Since your username got mutated, PM's meant for you are going to the other guy. He's probably scratching his head. Until my UN was fixed I was getting some strange stuff.

Ratherbboatin, you should be all fixed now. Sorry about that, your account was one of a very small few that had some issues because your username existed with and without the underscores.

Please let me know if you're able to get into your profile now.

Got the mock up gauges all set up and mostly wired. Engine will turn over now.

Just a mock up for now WM. I will most likely replace all the gauges, and paint the main support silver to match the upper part of the boat.
The engine is hooked up as of yesterday to turn over. Finally was able to do a first compression check and the numbers came out low. Might need to refurbish it before dropping it in. Strange that it starts and runs though.

I tested the link and it worked. Sorry, new at the video and I don't have a youtube account.

Ran the engine for about a minute. It has closed cooling, but still didn't want to have it heat up. Too much of a pain to run the hose about 150 ft to the shop. I have not hooked up water at the shop yet.

What were the numbers?

Motor sounded healthy to me, but yeah no water to cool the exhaust can be bad if ran very long.
