Got a question for those in the know. We, wife and I, have this large turtle that keeps coming to our house. We have a little over an acre fenced in yard and this morning was the fourth time he (I think it is a he, I honestly don't know and am not looking to see either) has shown up and each time I take him into the nearby wooded area and release him again. He is a large turtle about at least 12" long or longer. What should I do with him since I certainly don't want to hurt him or see him get hurt?

I attached a couple pictures. He really is a good size turtle maybe even longer then 12"

A common painted pond turtle, I had one show up at my house once, I think someone stole him from his lake and took him home. They make a bee line for the nearest body of water but I helped him by taking him to the closest lake.

Well then this common painted pond turtle has some issues. Seems he (or she) avoided two ponds that were not that far from our house down the hill from us. And he came from that direction each time. I placed him closer to those ponds each time thinking he was lost. But he ends up inside our fenced yard further away from the two ponds... I guess his GPS is malfunctioning... Yeah, that's the ticket!

Yes, on the hummingbirds. Still amazes me how they can fly off in early fall so far away and then return in early spring to the exact same place every year. And they will let you know if they are out of food in the feeders too. Such very tiny birds with amazing memories.

I have yet to be able to find any of their nests. I'd love to see the babies in the nests. But their nests too are very small...

Wrong anchor, WM. Reading isn't your strong suit, is it? :peep:

This one worked and gave up a fluke protecting a kid in a car seat. Now retired.

Dang it,:blue: the Danforth is all I have, that and a Mercruiser 120 block.
