Too much is too much.

Heritage is an imaginary thing., I started out being 100% Norwegian until I had my DNA checked. Now all I can say is those vikings sure got around but I guess heritage turns out to be mostly cultural.

By the way, Waterman, where have you been hiding? I think of you often fishing in your Starcraft in the Omak area. Been hitting Roosevelt a few times myself.

I hang out in the Starcraft section daily. Been over to Banks on the walleye but the wind hasn't stopped howling for 2 weeks. Hows fishing on the Big R?

My grandfather's adopted family name is scottish/Irish which I never knew until I was an adult and he passed, but I've always felt an affinity to those cultures even as a kid.

Whatever, I was not wearing underwear for a day and it was awesome. Redneck or no, y'all should try it.

Caught some Walleye but they weren't very large. All males. Last time out of 7 Bays we caught 26 between the 2 of us. The small ones sure taste good. We threw back the smallest ones. Limit is 16 each in Roosevelt.

That must of been quite the surprise. I'm supposed to be 50% Swede and 25% Fin, but who knows. I should get tested. A buddy of mine thought he had a bunch of American Indian. Test showed 0%.....

Not so much imaginary ... I have a Swedish Heritage because my grandmother and her parents came over on the boat from Sweden. The names are all Swedish, and so are the recipes. What's in the bloodwork? Who knows?

My wife has a VERY Scottish heritage. Family lines trace back even to Rob Roy. But her DNA work came back as mostly Scandinavian. We found the connection (how it works into the DNA), but it doesn't change the family history.

My father emigrated from Norway in 1920. His roots go way back into the 1600 in Norway. My mother's parents both emigrated from Norway. Therefore I'm culturally Norwegian and American.

My DNA says I'm mostly northern european and British. Then there is Indian from 2 sides of India, Tuscany Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Iberian, Peruvian, Mexican and Vietnamese. How did all that get in? Some of those are in the 1/10ths of percent, probably in the noise of the testing.

I'm still American 1st since I grew up in this country. Those vikings didn't stay home.

Why do we say people are (something/American)? We should say they are American/something) since I see us as Americans first in our hearts.

I'm sorry, I'm too much American. In fact, my father didn't like it either. I do like lefsi and pickled herring.so I guess I'm not totally strayed.

Got my boat back so heading for the launch at Lincoln tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM. Hope to catch some Walleye.

Looks like it came from over the hills.

It looks like it's welded to the bumper. Some kind of modified pintle hook. How does it disconnect?

Glad you found something to do while in "Stay at home" orders from the governor.
