Ok, I ended up getting a new phone....but did manage to sneak off to the lake Thursday and stayed till yesterday. Gave Miss Morgan a good workout!

Here is a pic of the completed fuel system...except I forgot the rubber mat under the tank! Oh well 30 minutes one night and I can get that corrected.



I also glued down the bilge pump and mounted it. Still need to connect the wires and drill the transom for the thru hull fitting. I put located the transponder next to the pump and routed the wire to the dash. I still need to mount it.


I made a template out of the fuel pump box for the mounting holes of the bow light. Worked out pretty good.


The socket for the lamp had some rust on it, so I sanded it down and sprayed it with cold galvanizing. I also put heat shrink over the wire insulation, it seemed fine, but I figured it couldn't hurt! By the way one wire is hot and one is ground. The socket isn't the ground for this type lamp, it has a ground contact on the bottom of the lamp, as well as the hot contact.


And the light assembled, still need to connect the wires and find a few nuts to secure it with. I think I will also buy LED lamps for both marker lights.

I had to save the bow light Sam, it was way too cool to replace! Thanks for the complements! I keep inching forward.....the to do list keeps getting shorter!

For the LEDs, be sure to get the wide angle ones. The normal ones usually have too narrow of a field of focus to work well in any application that needs light emitted all around like that nav light does.

My Nav lights use the same bulbs and was thinking of installing LEDs but was not sure which to buy so please let us know what bulbs you find. Unfortunately my local auto stores do not seem to carry the 2 pole bulbs (#68 I think) in the right size and they were out of stock at the West Marine by my marina. Luckily I had a spare when my green blew a few weeks ago but I need another to keep boat just in case.

BTW everything looks great!!! You will be getting her wet soon.

Mr300Z i just googled them and found a place that sells them....cant recall the name right now. Mine uses a #90 for the bow light, and the stern light is a 906 pin light.

I got the wiring hooked up for the bilge pump tonight and finished installing the split loom. I also added some clamps to the transom to secure the pump and depth finder wiring. I will hopefully get the thru hull fitting installed and the piping hooked up for the bilge tomorrow night......one step at a time lol!

Found the email receipt, superbrightleds.com The lamps were cross referenced to some newer ones, but based on the reviews it sounds like they work well in marine applications. Gomopar I did get the ones that have an all around light throw, hopefully they will work well. I hardly ever go out at night, so they may never get used anyhow.

That was the place I was going to send you to if you couldn't find some wide angle LEDs. They have just about every kind of LED there and the prices aren't bad the last time I looked as well.

I put in the thru hull fitting for the bilge, installed and clamped the hose in place. I got the fitting jamb nut threaded almost all the way on, then hit a bur in the threads.....then it took two vice grips to get it off! Round two went quite a bit smoother, but it took 3 times as long as it should have! Go figure!

The nice thing about the seacast transom is you don't have to worry about drilling holes in it.....just drill away without water concerns!

funny you should mention that , i just sat last night watching a movie deb urring all of my through hull's working in the pool industry i learned a long time ago they never clean threads from plastic fittings

Tonight I drilled, installed and wired the socket for the stern light. I also put the hardware on the bow light and tightened it down. I still need to hook that up, but I want to get the bow deck braces (under the dash) installed before I flop around in there trying to do that. The back side of the front deck doesn't have much support right now. I also need to hook up the deck drains and install the front cleats up there. I'm thinking this weekend maybe finishing up the seats and maybe putting down some carpet.

I’m with ya on the Seacast ... And especially on an old classic like Fuggly . The reason these boats usually go to the land fill is because there all rotted out and most folks just don’t want to go to the trouble of a full gut job .
No reason why Fuggly won’t be around for generations to come now !
