Thanks Kcassells. I didn't get a lot done today, still a bit weak. However I did get all of the battery hold down pieces ready to install. If you go back about a million post, I installed the battery hold downs that I made out of seacast. They have stainless carriage bolts sticking up. The are a few inches short, so I added some threaded rod via couplings. I loctited them in place, so they should be secure.
I also cut down a piece of 1x2 aluminum tube to act as the hold down that will go across the battery. Drilled a few holes in it and then sprayed liquid plastic on it. If all this looks familiar, its more or less I did the hold down for Miss Morgan.
And I cut out a rubber pad (home depot floor mat) to go between the battery and the hold down.
I guess I should at least be able to assemble the battery hold down tomorrow. Hopefully I have a bit more go in me, I am anxious to fire her up on muffs and run her through some paces. I for sure need to do a cam lifter break in.....not ideal on muffs but I don't need a cam going flat!
