Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

On my old Tuna trips out of Dan Diego

Never did the "all nighters"...fishing that is:D.....day trips out of Monterey, Morro Bay or Avila Beach, etc.... Alas, should have done the albacore trips..:(

It would be like sleeping on plywood. The water under the boat would cancel out the water in the bed. It would be horrible

THAT'S what I was thinkin'!:p

BTW: TGP....HOLY $#@*!....B4 Jas gets the mob fired up...MORE PICS PLEASE!

Yup, pretty sure this thread needs to be stickied. DW thinks so too, and he's pretty awesome.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better thread here on iboats than this one here!

No arguments about foam, engine oil or plywood - just great shots of old Starcraft boats.:D

Nomad that is a pretty boat. We need more pics & info.

TGP, I once made that comment about black not being a wise choice for a boat...once AGAIN I have been proven wrong, darnit. I would be willing to sweat in that beautiful boat. You have done yourself proud:D and have added a trophy to the Starmada collection.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

G'Day All. I am a new member and I live in moonta Bay, South Australia. Having reached retirement age, I decided to get another boat, as I was without one. I found this little beauty in a tiny fishing town north of here, named Tickera. She has been well used and has worked for most of her life. The paperwork says she was built in 1975, and the story I got from the old man who had owned her, was that an aircraft factory put her together in Western Australia.

We gave her a little trip out in calm waters, and kept her out there for two hours. She handled well, and not one drop of water came out of the plugs when we got her ashore.

This web page gave me my first knowledge of these boats, and I want to show her her off to the world. I think another thirty years and she will still be out there fishing.

Wow! Let me bring it down a notch (or two or three) after that black beauty posted above. Tough act to follow. I am just getting started on refreshing my old boat.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Hello fellow Starcraft owners. I just found this theard, and I am posting my info. I have a 2008 Starcraft Islander 221 O/B. Merc 150 EFI main and a 9.9 Merc 4 stroke kicker. I can't say how much I love this boat. I went through a lot to get it. You can see my pics on my profile.
If there are any of you in WA besides me that one, I would love to have a Starcraft boat get together, I think it would be a blast.

Several in Wa. State and Oregon.. How do you like the stern bracket?? Several Starcraft owners have thoughts of haveing that done to there boats. I see a lot ot that in local Alumonum boats in the San Juan areas and the Big C

Holy smokes, wait one minute!:eek::eek::eek:

Take a look at post #66 on my Islander Rebuild thread! I know where that rig came from!

http://outdoormagazine.tv/blog/?tag=starcraft-islander-boat-mercury-marine

I saw that boat for sale a while back in the summer, did it go all the way to the PNW???!!!

Wow, too funny!

I absolutely love that boat. It was (and still is) inspiration for my project.

Welcome!:D

Nice rig there:D Can't think of a nicer setup for a trolling machine. Congrats on the purchase.

I love the stern bracket. That is one of the features I have to have with this boat. I just love it, wont have another O/B without one now.

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Yes you are right jasouside, one in the same boat. I searched all over the NW to find an Islander 221 O/B. None to be found. I found a few I/O, but I wont go there again. I searched state by state till I found this one. I even called a Starcraft dealer and asked them to do a search for the O/B. NONE!!! The factory had 3 I/O's that were not even finished. I will not do another I/O on a boat unless it is a Live aboard. Long story of why.
Needless to say I love this boat, I get a ton of questions everytime I take it out. Lots of other aluminum boat owners want to know what it is, who makes it ect. They have just never seen on of this size with the cuddy. My wife and I cant be happier with it. Planning on halibut fishing with it in May, that should be fun.
