Love that big deckboat, and she looks like she has plenty of room for fishing off the bow too:D

What kind of speed are you getting on the high end?
She'll do 53mph confirmed with GPS. I never thought we would own a deck, but it came with the Missouri place. She's been a great boat for us. Better than the SeaRay which still needs a motor.

Nice rig ya got there Tim...even some bling on the trailer wheels:D

Thanks to both you and jasoutside.
Since both of you are from MI, that boat came from New Baltimore. Anchor Bay on St. Clair.
I drove 5 1/2 hours to buy that boat.
i just got it in September and i love it.
you cant see it but the motor is an '02 125 ELPTO. I also added a 15 HP Johnson Seahorse. its a 75 and the darn thing keeps fouling plugs on me!!
The big motor trolls like a dream but I dont want to put all them trolling hours on it.
Ultimately I wanna get a 4 stroke 20 HP relabled to a 9.9 with trim and tilt.
thats 4000 dollars down the road though.
Its a tank. Great in waves and has a very smooth ride. Goes about 42, downstream, slight ripple and wind on my back.
Ill feel a lot safer on St. Clair this year with it trolling for Muskies.
My old boat took a lot of "over-da-bows" (as we called a wave over the bow) the bilge ran a lot. A few "over-da-sterns" and rare "over-da-gunnel" too.
Anyway, its pretty much the exact boat Ive always wanted and driving all that way on a Craigslist ad was worth it for me.
13,900 is what i got it for. Its top dollar but its in awsome shape and was garage kept.
Them wheels are sweet. The swing away trailer tongue is pretty cool too.
Shes all wrapped up in the backyard with snow on it now though.
I still go and look at it every day.

Very similar to wrfalpacas' (Bret) '69 resto -->> http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=316643&highlight=starchief (mine is not restored...YET!)

More pics when I get a chance to uncover it.

Welcome to the site bukmastr...looks like a nice rig you've got. We love the old Starcraft cabin rigs.

Start up a new thread in the Starcraft forum to post some photos when you get a chance. We'd love to see the Starchief:)

Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

Sorry I haven't been back to you before this. My little 14 footer is a Starcraft, and although it is not stamped on the boat, I was assured by the old man I got her from, that the make is Starcraft. He told me that an aircraft factory had been putting them together, so maybe they came to Australia from the USA in bits and pieces. The ancient Evinrude runs very well, but I want to have an electric start and forward controls added to her. I'm getting to old to pull start motors.

Nice rigs AJ, I really like that avocado green 14 footer.

The mountains in the background are nice too, great place to boat:)

Nice AJ. With any luck your brother will forget the 14 footer! Seems like owning 2 SCs is becoming the norm. One at a time is enough for me.

Sorry, I've been off the grid for a while. Still pop in once and awhile to catch up. Well here she is.....new engine, drive, transom, floor, seats, engine cover, floatation, electronics, etc, etc, etc........fished her all last summer on lake erie. Still have some cosmetics to finish, but her bones are solid. I probably won't take on another resto for a while. I ran out of money and energy with this one. Thanks for looking.
