Re: Post a pic of your starcraft!

I have wondered about using fat bags (I think that?s what they are called).

Regarding adding bow weight to get the nose down I just won this on fleaBay for $35.00 (no pump, just the bag). Will keep you posted.;)

Pro X Series Side Sac - W703
dimensions: 48 x 12 x 12 weight: 260 lbs. / 118 kg.
The Pro X Series Side Sacs fit along the side of the engine compartment on inboard boats and they will conform to fit under the seats of open bow boats. They are designed to get more weight to the center of the boat to balance any ballast you may have aft of the engine. Their narrow profile also makes for a better fit than a Fat Sac?. THIS IS 1 USED SAC AND IS IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION WITH QUICK RELEASE CAPS.

I bought the boat new late in 1963 and has been in use for 46 years. Every time I went to a boat show the boat that I liked was the Last Dollar all over again. Just a new payment book. See my thread for the full story. I have done my share of restoring over the years

Shoot Kev, I haven't even seen a waterbed for 30 years. Makes me wonder what it would be like to sleep on a waterbed in a boat while on the water though.:p

lol...
On my old Tuna trips out of Dan Diego, I always took a bottom berth under or at the waterline..Hearing the "gurgle" of the water on the hull used to lull me asleep like back in the womb...

Not to mention the top most bunks pitched and rolled like crazy!

It would be like sleeping on plywood. The water under the boat would cancel out the water in the bed. It would be horrible :rolleyes::p
