Old Evinrude question, Can anyone help?

I seem to have lost a screw also.

Well I got the parts that were canceled from ebay and they are all brand new! The guy even threw in the rest of the parts to completely redo the lower unit! So happy with that guy I'd say it was a steal for $99 and free shipping! The new set doesn't have the needle bearings presse/stuck on the back and the front seal doesn't have the two holes in it. If I can figure out what's keeping it from running right while in gear I'll be in buisness to go fishing.

I wonder if someone stuck a 66 or later propshaft in it, or an entire Unit. If so, maybe it is hanging up on the Detent

You might have been right because the new unit I got is different.

Low Compression
Lean Carb
Dirty Carb
Running on only one cylinder

Could the float cause this if it was set wrong? I got everything else sorted out that I know of but it is still bogging down when in gear but runs great while in neutral. It's got good compression and spark on both cylinders.
