FEB 20th! I have been doing all kinds of last minute housework as a basement pipe burst on the 10th, and we have been all over the place trying to have things fixed before the girls arrive. Poor SN is all alone in the garage lately...

I was able to sneak out into the garage the other night. 5200'ed my transom strap hooks through the new transom, and cut out the casting deck. That was fun. I bet I only took the deck in and out of the boat a dozen times for some trimming...thats all.

Threw some spar on for now, until I figure out exactly where I want hatches.

Back at the tin I see, nice progress! Ah watching Spar dry is one of my favorite downtime activities.

I see your 2 pot lickers are in watching the drying too :watermelon:

Congrats on the twins! Good to see you were able to steal some time for the boat. My twins are almost 17 and they still keep us moving.

Yep someone needs to keep me company so I dont do anything drastic to the boat.

Re: My Walleye Project - 70's Sea Nymph SS160 1668

So I am trying to figure out my design for the inside of this boat....and here is what I came up with.

Floor plan - I am not 100% set on this. but I think this will provide the most room, with 4 seats for cruising. I think 4 people could jig with this setup also. The space behind the rear 2 seats, and in front of the splashwell, could suffice for a board accross the boat to mount, with many pole holders for trolling.

For some reason, I do not like the huge rear casting deck originally put in.... to me it seems to take up all of the floor space. In the rough cold water we fish, you dont need to be standing on a deck up high. I was thinking more along these lines. THanks Sig for the material. AS you can see in the above plan, there will be deck space behind the two rear seats for standing on calm days, this space can be used for trolling, and also to provide storage and access under the deck.

Thoughts?? Oh, and I am sorry I am not a graphic artist. LOL

You need a place for your gas tanks too!

It's in the plan above. I figured I can access it from the front facing hatch on by the floor, slide it out on a drip pan like yours...also, the hatch above it I can open and fill from there. That;s the plan at least.
