Not that kind of pic. Is that Ken on the label?

ugh you caught me...you'll have to just take my word for it i guess :p

I might add that he responded to my "thank-you" text message with "np, i loved it !!!! Workin the rivet gun is easy .." <== 4 exclamation marks!

Had some 5200 on my fingers this weekend too, it seems like a waste of a good weekend without it. That's some good forward progress there BF. Lots of rivet action and back buttered tin. Looks awesome from here! :encouragement:

Thanks Agua! Due to access constraints & angles, this was some of the most difficult rivetting yet...I had a tough time keeping those stems true during the set. We did incorporate a new phrase, "Just Mash-it!".

Now that I have a willing rivet-minion, there's light at the repair-filled tunnel! :D

Boy BF do you make those patches look professional, most would not know they had been done after the boat was in service 39 years.

"Just Mash-it!".

That's much better than "Hold my beer and watch this". :joyous:

Is Ken bringing beer the next time or is he on to that trick? :D

Not being an outboard guy all I can say is your transom work certainly looks stout. Not thinking you will have to worry about ripping the motor off. Good job.

Dagum BF been a while since I've checked in she looks great now add a second knee brace so you can throw a 200hp on the back.

Now that I've sent him the link to this thread...prolly not

Thanks Bruce! Ken is lifelong tin-head...mostly reservoir boats. Now that he's been exposed to some full-sized tin, it's only a matter of time

Thanks Sig! I don't know about 200 horsies...I do hope to hang a 115 or 140 V4 someday! :)

Thanks Glen! I've had some practice making patches

Idk man ive been looking at 150s for mine with all the structure work you have done 200 ponies would make a wicked fun ride.

To bad you are in Yankee land there is a 115 evinrude an hour from me good compression for $300. I considered picking it up as a flip but ive got to much in the fire at the moment

OHMAHGAWD! I'm actually glad that the 115 is a gagillion miles away right now! Any closer and I'd be testing my pain threshold...specifically, blunt-force trauma

Yeah I found a donor Glastron less than a mile from me that would work with the same vintage (Mid 70's) 135 Rude, steering and controls. Field boat uncovered and inside it wadded up is the cover. Guy said he would take 500 lock stock and barrel. So start creeping around looking, they're there.

I have a bead on an Evinrude 1976 135hp w/ T&T on a 'free' boat & roller trailer (that's beyond the electric shift era, right?)......

That ^^^ wouldn't make the Admiral very happy, but at least I just bought her concert tix to help soften the frying pan treatment.

Headed the wrong direction for work, thru next Thurs/Fri...... Not sure it'll happen....

Yeah jb 1976 is after electric shift. That old school power tilt and trim is worth $300 on its own. I would grab it in a heartbeat
