That'd be great and the bores looked real clean and smooth

B.I.L wants more info on what you mean by "Play" in the pistons. Do you mean at the Rod connections or at the cylinder walls?

Could also be that when I did it it was on down stroke at the bottom and didn't have enough support

I know my parents had motor looked at when the got it cause it was running. And the place that got it going changed head gasket and they never said anything.

Well i sold this boat 2 or 3 years ago and hopefully gonna pic it back up tomorrow. The people i sold it to didnt touch anything so its sitting the same way i sold it to them. Which brings up the first question. Its been in a barn this whole time and is covered in pigeon poop. I plan on using a pressure washer to get it off only problem is they never put the top cover on the motor (evinrude lark iv). Would it be safe for me to pressure wash the motor on low to get the poop off?

Any idea if the poop stained the gel coat i wasnt able to pull it out of barn but it was covered in it. Ill be sure to have before and after pics. I gotta wire trailer back up and make some seats for boat. Gonna try to replicate the sun n fun seats. Plus other odds and ends i never finished up but its sitting same way that i sold it minus the poop.

It probably DID stain it but...Warm sudsy water first, then some Acetone and a bit of wet sanding and you MIGHT get it out!!!

No Title

Got boat back home and took 2 hours to scrub it. If zoom in on bow pick can see some lightning in places dont know if its staining or from scrubbing it.
