I aLso have holes in deck from the sun n fun seats and from pedastals. Either way there's no way I'm getting rid of boat cause it means to much to me.

Is there any way I can dissolve it with an abrasive, gas or something

Unfortunately the foam can only be "dissolved" by removal with a variety of specialty tools; any, all or some of the following are highly recommended...a spade shovel, a claw hammer, a wonder bar, a chisel, a crowbar, maybe even a sawzall with a short blade to break it up into smaller sections and lots of cussing and sweating......gasoline and a match work, also...but could be very detrimental to the boat, the surroundings and you...

Not what I wanted to hear. If I cut 2 foot long hole that went the width of deCk think would be big enough to pull it out. Do you have to put new foam back in and where can u get it. Would I just have to patch it back up with glass AnD resin.

Sorry for the bad news, but it is what it is...

As far as making a hole and trying to dig it out...it is possible, but I am not familiar enough with the construction of this boat to know for sure if you will be able to reach all of the foam from one access opening...

Maybe one of the the other guys, who are more familiar with this design will chime in...

As far as replacing it, I personally would recommend very highly that you do replace it as it is used as a safety feature in the event the boat ever gets swamped and it may also be structural to this design...

You would need to find out the density of the foam originally used...it could be 2 pound, 4 pound or even 8 or 16 pound foam, I am not sure...

It is available from several sources, one of the best known ones is US Composites, but I think Iboats may carry it as well...

Stretch, since your deck is a molded liner from the factory as one piece you will need to cut it along the edges and remove it in total. If you are careful you should be able to put it back by repairing the cuts.

If I cut 2 holes in back of boat to let any standing water out and patch em back up would iT be safe to stilldrive. I'm asking cause I'd hate to take entire floor out and mess up putting it back in.

Been while since last post so here it goes.I wanna get some shine back on this old boat I was thinking bout using some. 1-2000 grit sand paper on it and wet sand it then follow up with some nufinish (as I've read good things bout it) also gonna start with seats as soon as snow melts ( gotta love nh). Guess just wondering what other people use on faded gel coatad don't wanna 're paint it like to see it as original as possible.

I ended up washing and waxing the boat I used attwood cleaner wax gonna do another coat and finish it off with polish.

I'm starting to fix this ole boat up I got the pulleys and cable on its way and the head gasket and other gasket on head. Next I'm gonna replace control cables but I want to make sure I get rite ones the cables read : morse 33m 13ft 2bh and morse 33m 12ft 2bh

I have the exact same motor. I have the manual if you want a copy, PM me and include your Personal email address and I'll email you a copy of it. What Cables are you referring to...The Throttle cable??? Is your motor the Selectric 3 button Electric Shift or the Manual Shift?

It is manual and need both cables (forward/reverse and throttle) are u referring to manual for motoras I have that one

Yeah the Motor Manual

Check eBay under Vintage Evinrude/Johnson Shifter Cable. You might get lucky.
