I have a 7.5 Gamefisher on my 14' tinny. Neat little motor, cranks on the first pull every time. Just don't be in a hurry to get anywhere!

Well a Gamefisher wouldn't be my first (or second or third or fourth) choice but if it's cheap and runs....go for it. I don't know the value of your gun.

hey Ez..its just over a hundred bucks new..and I have prob put 100 rounds through it in 2 years..So I figured why not!

I dont like relying on the battery of the minn kota...rather have HP than thrust...

Besides..I have a LOT of handguns back in Cali..heck If I sold em all Id have a turn key 22 ft SS..;)

Well that's not bad. I hope it's one of the Chrysler/Force ones and not one of the Eska ones.

Well her she is..all 7.5 horses...
Had just time to get it and drop it in the garage, as Diane's daughters bday was today and we had to go out.
The guy wanted to trade my Mossberg 22 plus 25 bucks..
But after he saw the rifle, he said to forget about the cash..sweet..(maybe the fact I had the loaded clip in my pocket worried him? lol)
I have to figure the year, but will run that info down later..I do hope it's not the ESKA made motor...But whatchagonnado huh?

I think you should name that tinny 'MOE'. One reason is, you found it the field, so as in mow the grass.. But if your motor is an Eska, then you would have an EskaMoe..lol.

1. Buddy had it running before you got there. Had it all warmed up...

OR

2. You just haven't figured out the starting combination yet...

OR

3. You just got outhouse luck. You need to find a horseshoe, and fast.

Had the same starting issue with my 20hp Chrysler.

At home in a bin of water it would fire up in 1 or 2 pulls.
Got it to the river and spend 15 minutes trying to start it up on the dock.

That 7.5hp sounds like it's running real smooth Kev, I know you're happy about that:)

It will make a great kicker too, I was surprised how well my 5.5hp pushed the SS around. I got around 5mph which is plenty for trolling. I'd expect similar performance on the Holiday with the 7.5hp.

Is that the canal in Ft. Myers? Looks like a fun body of water to zip around:D

BTW is that a beer holder on the front bench? LOL

Re: My $100.00 14 ft 1950's Lonestar Tinny

Thanks guys..

Huron..it's the Caloosahatchee River...That drains from Lake Okechobee to the Gulf of Mexico..

Theres a couple Tarpon spots about a mile south of this spot, then another half mile to some shark, redfish & snook..

The ramp is maybe 20 minutes from my house in a nice secluded neighborhood...

and yep, it's official a rod holder that strangley holds 16 ounces of ice cold heaven
