WOW!!! She is looking awesome. Seat base look great and the hard top is outa sight.
Know what you mean about the days getting shorter. I don't close shop untill 6:00pm and it's dark at 5:30pm. Can't get anything done during the week.

Happy Thanksgiving :D

i don't know how 'period correct' you are trying to keep, but i have a couple old speedos laying around here.
i'll dig them out and get some pictures of them up on here. if you can use one of them, i'll send it your way

I really don,t want a bunch of stuff on the dash but a nice speedo would be good ..

I put the word out that you were looking for an old speedo... I think I found you one...

Oh wait, you meant speedo (as in speedometer) not speedo (as in banana hammock)...

My bad, I'll try a different google search and see what I come up with...

Carry on... (and happy turkey day).

Thanks mrdj ! but I think pmc has got me covered ! :D
PMC ,
I would be banned from my local surf spot if I owned a pair of those . In the meantime I will just use my Elmo surf trunks from walmart ;) Well anyway the Admiral pulled the trigger on the one from ebay and was able to score it pretty cheap! I still may send the old one off for an appraisal ..
Later everyone !!

Sitting around waiting for the turkey ... I could not wait any longer so I had/made some PB .. I did not want the bottom of the seat base opening so close to the deck so I cut some pieces of the plywood and glued them in on the bottoms ..

A little grinding and shaping then maybe I can get these things done ...:)

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

Well the family get together turned out great and I think I have eaten enough for at least 3 people .:p I figured I had better get up off the sofa before I fall asleep so I tried to get a little something done . This is the kind of stuff that earned me my redneck engineering degree .

Wanted more room to work with the buffing wheel so I made this temp outside stand . Now when I am done for the day just a quick custom made cover and were good to go !

I,m not sure which is worst grinding fiberglass or polishing aluminum ! Polishing rub rails is really no fun what so ever ! LOL!

Nice work... Is that a little Rush in the background....

Looked like you were baking a cake....Nice fix on the bases by the way... Like everything else, a lot of care and attention going into those... Going to be great when they are done....

Also, nice win for your gators this weekend :)
