SP, I've been trying to get completely caught up on your restore and I am still back on page 18 or 19 (I think); I really didn't want to jump forward and spoil the surprise just quite yet, but I accidentally did and wow.

All I can say is KUDDOS to You Sir! Very GOOD Job! Looks GREAT!!! I love the color and the seats, not to mention the wood accents.

Excuse me while I go back and find where I was at.

MP,
Thanks for dropping in ! Yeah ,this thing kinda got long and I would not blame ya for skimming through all our :blah:
Believe it or not there is some good info in there all scattered around .

SBB,
Thank you for the complement sir !

Well for using my by guess and by golly method I think I got pretty darn close to the original seats . I actually think mine are built better than original other than the hardware ..
Mine are a little higher off the deck and an inch narrower .. And are more comfortable to sit in .
But the originals are a bit more H/T friendly .. :)

Didja Notice how they applied the back cover on their seat? You're Bases are a LOT better and your hardware is Fine. But...I KNOW how a perfectionist's mind works!!!

There is just nothing about the OEM that looks comfortable or convenient. Their handle/leg looks cheap and looks like they would catch on everything.

I like how the panels carry on down to the bases color-wise. They just look awesome.

Tell me, since I've only made it to page 27, are those storage lockers in the bases? Maybe you've already said but I haven't made it there yet (or maybe I missed it).

This is how I see my seats in my head:

but this is probably how they will turn out:

Well in all fairness , Those are almost 50 year old seats and mine are only a year old ..My sil brought home some really thick aluminum angle that will eventually be confiscated for some up graded hinges . :eyebrows:He just don't know it yet !

I guess you could say they are color co-ordinated .. I actually got the vision for them from 5 gal buckets .. And yes that is storage inside the bases .
There we go....

TC I tell ya they are some really nice o/b motors ! I still can't believe I have one hanging on my transom . I consider myself very lucky..

been awhile since i've stopped in, just starting to come out of my hibernation. She is really coming along nicely. the wood accents really set it off. Have to make sure SWMBO doesn't see your pics, or she'll want me to add that to the list for mine.

Keep up the good work

Re: MFG rebuild getting started pics

Thanks for stopping by MJ ! A little wood bling would be nice for any boat ! Thank you for the complement !

Somehow I got the day off from the new project at work today . Studs ordered the wrong size for an exterior wall we are building .:joyous:
That gave me the opportunity to try out my new to me riding mower I picked up for 350 bucks.

I also started a trailer project . Gunna have to break out the sewing machine . Here is a link .

Awesome deal on the tractor! They make an excellent boat yard addition. With a ball hitch on the front, you can maneuver anything with precision. I gotta get me one of those. :)

Nice score S.P.
That will be a nice mule to have around, especially as the boat fleet grows...
Checked out the roller guides, very neat idea!

Does make a nifty pet carrier however! She might be on to something there SP. You might be able to market that idea with some planning.

I don't think that that would fit any of the dogs we've had either.

Ours have been Great Danes; just a little on the larger size.
