Hey, if we don't procrastinate, we won't have anything to do tomorrow...

If you use 5200, remember what a mess it makes...
My personal recommendation is to mask the area off a few inches all around where you are going to place the logos...
Then, using the logos or a template of the logos, trace out the spot where its going on the masking tape and carefully cutout the tape with a razor knife...like what I just did on mine to install the bilge drain plug and aerator intake...

Also mask off the logo, BUT before you do...remove some of the "stickiness" from the masking tape by dragging the sticky side lightly over your pants leg...this should prevent the tape from pulling the paint off of the logo...
OK, now smear on some 5200 to the backside, squish into place, use is a bondo spreader cut into a small putty knife to scrape off most of the excess squirt out before wiping down and use some mineral spirits or lacquer thinner with a rag to remove all of the excess that splooges out, then finally, before removing the masking tape, use some spit on your finger to really smooth the edge between the logo and the hull...trust me it is a bit time consuming and tedious to do, but the results are well worth the effort...should make for a nice clean install and no loss of paint from the surfaces by the use of the solvents...and yes, I did say spit for the final clean up, it will leave a nice cove and nothing sticks...:)

Have fun!

If you use the lacquer thinner, be extremely carefull.. If the lacquer gets under the tape it will eat the new paint in a hurry..
I would would use the mineral spirits before lacquer thinner.. Just my two cents..

YES! This is very true...
I only meant it to be used to wipe up any excess off of the tape and such before the final unveiling...plus I would only apply it to the rag used for wiping and very sparingly at that...
I forgot what type of paint you had used and I didn't even think about it on mine since it was painted with Imron, which after it is cured is almost impervious to light applications of solvents...
Sorry bout that...
Thanks for the heads up, Decker:)
