I think the two best activities at the start of a non smoking campaign are: sleep and sex. Lots of both. <br /><br />For me Zyban reeked havic on both.<br /><br />A change of routine might come in handy. <br />Like renting a hotel room for a night or two (which of course goes hand in hand with you know what) and watching a bazillion movies in an environment that has no reminders.<br />Kinda like a reward too.<br /><br />But coming up is the point where you have to quit thinking about quitting. Good luck there in advance, quitterwood.

I had my last one New Jear's ,2002....Almost a jear! and yes, they do smell like filet mignon these days. But I breath more gooder. But I wiegh abt 20 lbs more than I did in Jan'02 too.

Told you I'd do it Derwood, I caught a whole heap of snapper from Tiri today!<br />We caught octapus, and I had my first swim for the season in 35m of water. It's spooky when you swin where you can catch bronze whaler sharks.<br />I'll tell you what they taste like in a couple of days cause there's so many of them I'll have to put some in the smoke house first.<br />Keep up the smokefree Derwood, I still thinking about you sport!<br />Ross

Still here and still not smoken.....BRUTAL....but done.<br /><br />Well thats it....I don't have anything left to quit now....stopped smoken rope a long time ago....don't drink anymore (does a 3 or 4 citronas a month count?)....quit smoken....the only thing left that I want to quit is paying bills....can I do that?<br /><br />Healthywood.

Congratulations Derwood. It sounds like you're heading in the right direction. Just don't go giving up sex.<br />For a man who can clean fish indoors and photograph them indoors you must have one heck of a good lady thereabouts. She's gonna need a whole lot of loving!!<br />By the way the fish tasted great and the smoked snapper were talked about all over the neighbourhood!<br />Two days time I'm out on the mighty Kaipara Harbour, the least fished in one in NZ. I expect snapper between 10lb and 15lbs.<br />Ross

Congratulations Derwood, you are talking like an ex-smoker. The bills may be just a little easier to pay now that you don't have to buy any more tobacco. Of course, that probably is better used to buy more fishing tackle and bait.

I got one for you Derwood, the Kaipara gave up 14 snapper, 2 Trevally, 12 red gurnard, 5 sharks, and 14 Kahawai (sea trout). Nothing big but fish to be proud of.<br />I didn't have the camera with me sadly and they've been cleaned in the boat.<br />Lots of fillets and smoked fish once more.<br />One of our crew stopped smoking 6 days ago and he's got the right attitude, like you Derwood of "I don't smoke".<br />Ross
