wow a year already? It has been not only a pleasure to follow your build but to share a traditional Cuban sandwich with you my friend! This iboats has brought out a lot of good guys and you are one of them. Good luck on the next year, lol..... just kidding, get that thing done and splashed so the next time I make it down there we fish instead of buy resin!

You bet, I am so stoked to finish, so when any of my Iboats buds pop into town, we can spend some quality time fishing...:)

Enjoyed following along this past year... Looking forward to the day this boat gets splashed!
Thanks for hangin with me...like your new avatar...;)

Gus,
Good to see you make the mark and still moving on it. You are at the part that i am about to do, taking apart the OB to repaint it. Although i do not think i will go as far as you are. That is some serious determination.

Hope your week is filled with progress.
Thanks RR...I am hoping to make some good progress in the next few weeks...

Congrats on your first year, I think!

If you're like me, when you started your project, you didn't realize how much work it would really be and how hard it is to get time to work on it.

Yet we persevere. Keep up your great work.

Sea ya...

Thanks Deck and CK...Yeah, the time has slipped by and it has been a lot of fun and a lot more than what I originally figured, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it any other way...

OK, Now stand-by for what could be a pretty huge announcement...just got to get all my ducks in a row and I'll be back...

PM's always welcome...replied...;)

I used KleenStrip KS-3 Premium Stripper...and a ton of elbow grease and a couple of different stainless steel wire brushes to help get the old stuff off...some parts came off easy, others took several applications and lots of scrubbing, and even some spots I had to get in there with some scraping tools, and yet, even some places I still have to go back and attack some more......mostly the nooks and crannies...definitely a labor of love and a mission of mercy...

Have a great week!

Thanks GT, I guess if you are going thru the trouble to do the boat, might as well do the motor housing too! I got a good massage therapist if you need a referral.

Thanks for the pm also.

Re: Love, Necessity and Pride

Hey guys, quick question...if you can get MEKP locally, will your resin cost less to ship from whatever supplier? Ask around...you might be surprised...;)

Re: Love, Necessity and Pride

Found an article online that shows the ratios and dilutions to make your own MEKP from MEK and hydrogen peroxide...but very tricky and dangerous if mixed wrong.....my local HD sells small bottles of MEKP
