OH no! The inboard & tinny crowd got to you....

Never seen an inboard/outboard V8 on a Bass Boat!

Whatever the purpose, Al-u-min-e-um intake is always good... Mallory/MSD distributor? Next thing you know you'll be surfing the late nite websites looking for cheap reevits!

What are you putting that nice peice of equipment on.

I don't think the reed valves in your OB will allow for that type of carburetion.

Please do tell.

Killing you? WTHeck, you give us a sneak peck of a sweet aluminum intake & this is how you treat us?

I have this sinking feeling that its for a blown & injected 454 that will be going in a Tinny:eek:........:facepalm:groan

Ranger made a few in the early 90's. The 495V was one of them. Cool concept, but the hatch makes the rear deck almost useless.

Okay: There is a lot to see in this picture:

We've got a brand new intake, an old carb, a new dizzy, what appears to be an un-opened package of new u-joints, a couple of crates of spent ammo waiting to be re-loaded; a bag of peanuts, and 2 boxes with un-disclosed contents?

I know you are not putting an i/o in that boat, because I have seen your stringer and transom set-up... So, I'm thinking you are tinkering with something else? Are you building a tank?

[Edit to include the following public service announcement: Mob, we will be gathering at 4:00 p.m. eastern time for a quick de-brief and torch lighting if he has not come clean by then]

Umm hello? I keep lighting these matches, but no torches?

This was 4pm EST in the US right? Not Australian time. 'Cause if it's Aussie time, it is most definitely time for another Fosters......

Looks like there is going to be a little extra heat in South Florida tonight (sorry GT1M, we gave you a 30 minute grace period because we like you).

It's Friday & I need to go throw some water on the racoons. :D

Be back later...

BTW:
when I said water, I meant Beer

And when I said the Racoons,
I meant ME!

Thankfully, we made it through another week. Welcome the sweet relief, the weekend brings!

Re: Love, Necessity and Pride

Yeah, they'll let anybody w/ boat parts thru to the front... Funny brown shirt & shorts not required...

That's why I keep a small can of poly resin in the truck!:D

WTH? Who invited the guy w/ the pitchfork?

And I am NOT the guy in the back w/ the axe. It might be Jas, I hear he's handy w/ one of those things...

Please point anyone w/ a rolling pin towards the kitchen facilities. Rabble-rousing makes an angry mob, a hungry, angry mob..

Long story, short edited version...

I've had this beast since right after Hurricane Andrew...Done everything to it, including the kitchen sink...few years back I replaced the cam, heads, added a set of roller rockers, and the computerized Throttle Body Injection system said NO WAY! I ain't gonna work with all these mods...so I kinda gave up on it after many attempts at confusing the computer, but to no avail... That was almost 3 years ago...

Couple months ago, the truck started to talk to me...just like Jas' boat does to him...
Sold off the Holley Intake, Throttle Body, and MSD Distributor on Ebay to fund the transformation back in time to an Old School Carburetor set-up...

Still got some wiring to re-do, some fuel lines to re-plumb, and some generalized chaos to reorganize, but this afternoon it lived again, albeit for only a few seconds, since I still have to rebuild the Rochester Quadrajet...but it lives none the less...

This is my Go-To-Truck, for all the Important things in life, like eventually towing my newly restored boat and making trash runs...So I started to bring it back from the brink...

It is far from road ready, but at least the fire's been lit and the tires been kicked...

So, at least for now the mob can have another Beer and quietly disperse...

PS- Going to look at a Boat salvage yard tomorrow and see what sticks...

HAPPY FRIDAY, Y'all...

And, Oh yeah, Sorry all you's tinny guys a thinkin I drank the Kool-aid and got converted...not yet my Amigo's...:p

Just to be clear, this was NOT because you'd been voted off the island! Just wanted to make that clear.

We have decided to keep a couple of the dogs. They followed us home & seem to think we were carrying steak.!??!?!
