mannn i wish i had my camera cord working so you guys could see the pics....

the exterior boxes are built........

i was gonna use the foam idea........but the problem is the membrane is the inner surface.....and how to hold the inner surface while the foam is expanding.....?????

well ill figgure it out in a few minits........im going there for a 12 hour session on it today........i wanna get this thing done !

you guys will like the drain idea......a home department store....."get-er-done" special !

its actually not the cord thats the problem......i bought a refurb kodac......the place that the cord fits into is toast.....so i have to take the memory out of my camera....put it into a different camera....then up load it....

a real pita !

had a super super day on the boat today......

oops sr. came to lend a hand.......

got tons done....13 straight hours......i woulda kept goin....but i gotta work at the store tommorow morning.....

i have 3 cameras here....and a weeks worth of updates..... ill start uploading at 10 30 am pst.

im soooo stoked........deck gets glassed and gellcoated thursday.

this is the tower ive picked for the boat......

..it is used on the calabrias.....its from a company called titan...

its deep and tall swept design makes it perfect for the extension....as it will blend the legnth with the style

this is a full configuration.....

..the problem is....titan wont sell the tower to the public......calibria wants 3500 for it and it wont fit.....

so im gonna have to have a welder fab one for me....
but.....what else is new

this was a list of things to do last sunday !!!!! all those were supposed to happen in one day.

i got 2 items into it and realized there was a bazillion other things to do before step number three!!!!

the list is still not done !

ok.....long awated updates comin.......

when i moved the boat from the last shop to this one..... i had just screwed the deck in....to accomidate the move......the undersides were glassed....but there were some cool stuff iwanted to add .....like a ski locker....and an in deck hidden beer cooler......


soooo..... i needed to make templates and cut out wood for bulkheads that would go between the stringers. i used card board that i scabbed out of a dumpster for the template......(yup.....dumpster divin is part of boat buildin) !

i found some pt ply wood i had left over.......(anything below deck is fiberglassed incased pressure treated plywood)

i wrote on each peice whare it went as there was 8 bulkheads.......4 for the cooler and 4 for the ski locker

it was also a 25 degree day....so i took my one side glassed deck and put the un glassed side to the sun.....(warming up the substrait and drying any remaining moisture)

everything was out side even the frames

while those were sunning..... i fitted the bulkheads in place

the forward set of 4 is for the beer cooler and the aft 2 are for the foward ski locker

after they were test fitted....it was time to glass them........all the glass was cut before the process was started.

im also glassing the motor mounts....a really good set of sizzors works great on class especially the thicker fabrics......i find the the knives will only work for a pass or two on glass before the tip is dull and just starts ripping the glass.....so i use big sizzors.

again.....when you start glassing.....everything must be laid out in advance.....it must be ready and accessible....even a side project if there is left over resin.....

after that all the peices were glassed.....it was getting dark after that.....so i put all the peices that i had just glassed on a handy peice of wax paper.....and went to look at the boat and have a beer.

that was a year ago....before i began this sleigh ride....i had just tore out the deck.........

it seems that i have allmost come full circle......or ive worked a year and am at the same place i was then...

comin......i had 43 pics to up load.....ill have some more up right away.....i think that was a week ago last thursday....so lots more to come....im really stoked about the progress on it, and how close it is to being structurely done.....

then its just the cap cosmetics....and adding toys....like a longer windsheild and swimgrid and sunpad

The front of the bow was raised a bit when that boat was made. You and I have added stringers to kinda have a flat floor that does not raise at the bow. They did that cause of the rise of the bow and to maximise the interior space. Was your boat a open or closed bow origionally?
