Here is the final video for the weekend. I found a door mat made out of tires, and i am using strips of that to support the tank.

Hey Jay,

I noticed you mentioned West Marine is charging a lot of $ for that fuel vent hose. If you go online and find the exact same product at a cheaper price, print out a copy of the page with the price on it and bring it to West Marine. As long as it's the exact same product, they will match the price for you, and it will save you some unnecessary shipping costs. Just saved about $140 buying 2 exhaust manifolds from a flagship store here in MA. Goodluck

Watching you mess with that foam made remember was a mess it was. By the time I was finished I was mixing it up in Dixie cups and stirring it with tree limbs.

goboating here, I'm at the bottom of page 21, in your video you wonder how Sea Ray glassed in the kickouts for the engine. I bet their resident flunkie with a chopper gun made two or three spraying passes and proclaimed everything to be right with the world. I'm surprised the seventh inning stretch of boat building waited this long to set in. See the light at the end of the tunnel...no its not a train comming...see you and your family following the Glastron's new owner...on the lake...with wind in ya'lls (spelled correctly) hair. Don't give up now. The end is near. By the way do you have any idea how we will make up for all of this lost quality time when you are finished? We will have to start our own projects and then you can watch us!!!!

jay,
Here ya go!
Boat name.

"Miss Informer!"

What do ya think?

Can apply to the pre rebuild condition and the post rebuild condition depending on you inflection.

Got the inspiration from the Sleek Miss Morgan.

I spit Coke out of my nose when I read that. I am was sooooo there man. The stuff cannot be cleaned, and you really need two people to do it.

That is what is killing me right now. I cannot spend time with the family at the lake. That is what has got me going like a mad man.

LMAO!

That is good. After reading that I thought of "Duped" or "Reincarnation" or "Reincarnated".

Jay, are you going to glass over the piece for the tank or are you going to make that a seperate piece that can be removed when needed?

Glassing over it. I should never have to get the tank out.

Its goboating again! WOW what names...I cann't pick one. Both of them are priceless! "Foamin' Mad" almost made me fall out of my chair, and knowing what you have been through "Miss Informer!" is only appropriate as well. Waiting on the splash!!!!!!

Waiting on the splash!!!!!!

All things considered, that boat (whatever her name is) will be splashing in no time.

Those plugs look good Jay.

I think coming up with the name is the hardest part! Looks like you have a lot of good suggestions. I haven't had time to watch your videos (been having a great old time tonight sanding stainless  ) but it looks like you made a ton of progress this weekend! Keep up the good work!

I was wondering the same thing, I have mine so I can remove the flooring. I have taken the section of floor out twice now, once when I bought the boat and then after I removed the old gas in the tank and I lifted the tank up a tad to see if it was dry underneath. All was good, now I just open the cap in the floor after boating and let the floor air out so not to trap any condensation.

So far so good...:D

The nice thing about mine (and you will see soon) is that the back corner where the filler and the sending sit, is completely open. So it has lots of air movement and is gelcoated.
