I find it hard to believe that someone who refers to the I/O on their boat as an indoor/outdoor motor has enough brains to have taken good care of it, let alone do proper maintenance. Makes me wonder about the "mechanically sound" comment.

yeah.........and smooth shifting thru all the gears is a really great thing..... i wonder if its a four speed ?......but notice he doesnt say anything about the clutch?

and the boat is a murry..........wow.....that must be the name on the transom........cause ill bet all the gauges say US MARINE

In an effort to better educate myself, I sent the seller the following email;

Hi -

A couple of quick questions. You say it shifts smoothly, with no late or rough shifting. How many speeds, and what transmission? Also, how is the clutch? Is there anything special I would need to do to run it indoors with the indoor/ourdoor 305?
