A real bargain

BOAT 11.5 FEET ALUMINIUM - $4750 (MAMAHAWKIN)

BOAT 11.5 FEET ALUMINIUM

ALUMINIUM BOAT 11 FEET 6 IN. WITH TRAILER AND ELECTRIC MOTOR. IDEAL FOR FISHING OR DUCK HUNTING ON BACK BAYS. BOAT AND TRAILER LIKE NEW,WAS USED ONLY A FEW TIMES IN FRESH WATER LAKES.

Maybe it's a hover craft?? (or a UFO)

^^^ Thinking the electric motor is maybe one of the real nice electrics and not just a trolling motor, but you never know.

Maybe he added an extra zero.

Ummm, couple things on this one. Not sure that it can be an "awesome deal" when you DON'T EVEN HAVE A PRICE ON IT!

The other thing I like is the MN registration numbers with a WI sticker.

awesome deal, dont pass

Nice find! The grammar is especially colorful. New ORES, motor works GRATE, trailer comes with new BARINGS......it's a GRATE deal!!!! I wonder what kind of ore she's giving with it. Probably iron since she's up near the "grate" lakes. Barings?

I answered an ad like that once figuring the seller was just trying to get attention, boy was I wrong. They seller had looked up the value of a new 200hp outboard and were applying that value to a 1971 Merc 200, (20hp). There was no telling them otherwise, they listed it for $8500, and were darn sure certain they would get that as well. They swore up and down that the motor was new only a year ago and that a cousin paid over $12,000 for it. After trying to explain that its a 1971 model with only 20hp, and getting no where, I just left. Between the smell of dirty diapers, stale beer, and having to side step dog bombs all over the place, inside and out, I lost interest quick.

I knew I was in trouble when I drove up and saw the only home on the lot was an old camper with several window air conditioners hanging out of the wall and a half dozen dogs tied up on the lawn. There were several 55 gallon drums full of empty beer cans, overflowing all over the place. Each barrel was conveniently placed under a window as well.
They had the motor inside hanging on the back of a kitchen chair with a stack of cinder blocks on the seat to keep it from tipping.

If you walk to the window it a free throw and only worth 1 point. Standing inside the room is 2 points and from the reclined position on chair or couch is a 3 pointer.

I have a 14 foot boat that i have no use for. New ores, moter works grate, extra trolling motor, anchor, news ores, and even the trailer that has new tires and barings. Best offer, this is a grate deal even this late in the season. Email or text, I'm available any time. Would like to sell fast, no trades. Cash only.

Sad thing is, my 14yr old son didn't see the spelling errors in this...if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a rope and a tree.

This guy is asking $1500 for the OB...$1500!!

"I am selling a 1978 Johnson 75HP Motor. Motor was up and running last month but no longer is running at the moment. The fly wheel locked up. Comes with the throttle and cables. Completely re-done. Brand new paint job in July 2013. Has a lot of TLC. A great hobby to work on. I no longer have the time."

It's all the texting. 14 year old kids have no idea how anything is spelled.

yeah, try to cut a pizza into 5 slices and then cut into half. See...math you will never use.

And just so everyone knows, I was kidding about the home skool.

pretty funny ^^^ esp coming from the guy who's got:
"Common sense is not very common"
in his signature line.....

Why just now, I drank half of 5 beers... Unfortunately, it turns out, that after the 1st 2 beers, my half beer was under the 1st half in that 3rd bottle of beer... But it had to be done, just had to.....

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

You understand this is sarcasm right?

Yep, sorry, I did think it was funny, and your common sense quote just made it all the more funny....

Pizza Hut used to ask how many slices you wanted your pizza cut into. Not any more. Perhaps too many 5/7/9 slices, whatever's easier requests....

I graduated w/ several of the 'duh' & unh? guys from public schools, so it really isn't funny. It's sad. Poking fun at the home school'd isn't particularly funny either.

A rather uninformed guess would be that as a whole, the home schooled have a higher success rate, from a much smaller pool. But I'd guess the statistics show it's heavily weighted towards the extremes at either end of a bell curve, versus public school where most of the students fall in the middle.......
