Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.
I always enjoy the project boat with all of the parts included, they just aren't put together. It has always been covered by a tarp, you can tell by the leaf impressions / stains that can never be removed. The motor ran great the last time out, in 91. It comes with new plugs, wiring, distributor cap, some fuel lines, particle board for the floors, the lights and gauges are a no brainer to hook up, the hydraulics weren't working but for $50 you get them up. It was under water for a few days but it dried out fast. The rest of the engine parts are in the back of the boat, a little sanding and some paint and you'll have a new boat. I'm still thinking it over, my guess is that it has been around 15 months and it is probably still a turn key vessel. Sorry, I forgot to mention that as a bonus incentive, 4 free life jackets, & a free anchor all came with it- that really made it a tough choice
